Any ideas to enhance the idea let them know, Great to hear, good luck to them. Hope to pop in on a match day

Paul has contacted me regarding real cider and I will call in a have a chat later this week, but my new job and weekend working may be a problem, however, I will do whatever I can. ....black dragon if you can :-) Well, I tried, but I guess that there will not be real ciders. Hopefully I'm wrong.

Hopefully I'm wrong. so do I ....was enjoying 'rosys pig' there was a prefix but I cant remember what it was!, in a real ale and real cider bar (Albion) in Standish (nr Wigan) at the weekend ...they keep between 2-4 real ciders at any one time (and have 8-10 real ales on offer too).... I think the CatherineWheel should consider at least a couple of real ciders (if not more) especially for matchdays.... as it happens I may be popping in there tonight, so will mention it to the landlord

I have just logged on and found a message from Paul (Landlord) but as I am working through the weekend it is too late for me to supply for Saturday. However, I have given him a pricelist and contact details for a cider maker in Berkshire, so fingers crossed.

I am assured that we will have a delivery by Friday of two real ciders. Which two should I get ?? Paul.

The Rum cask is my favourite, but I would suggest 5 counties or traditional farmhouse, both very good ciders.

I have just ordered Rum cask and traditional farmhouse from Tim so barring any delivery issues we will be serving them on Saturday. Hope to see you all on match day. Paul and Joshua Carney.

As I am working all weekend I would be most grateful if you all left at least a pint of Rum cask for me to enjoy on Monday. :-)

Well done on getting some good real cider in. The rum cask is lovely. I saw Tim from Tutts Clump advertise that you were now selling it on his twitter account. Might pop in Saturday if I get a chance.

How many fans does it get in there before and after the game? Would putting a burger van outside be a good idea? Many takers?

Funny you should mention that as we will be having a burger van outside the pub. The chaps that are doing it have just bought a van and are starting a new business. Hopefully it will take off as it will be cheaper than getting food outside the stadium. They will be here for the Saturday game against Cambridge UTD.

Looking at heading your way before the Blackburn game. Is there street parking or is it best parking by the stadium and walking up?

It is a 15-20 minute walk. There is street parking by the CW although in the games with big crowds, that is starting to fill up much earlier.

The pub has a small car park that will hold only about 10 cars. A lot of people come up this way and park on the main road which most residents I have spoken to seem to tolerate. Quite a lot of fans use the pub and then walk down to the ground in about 10 minutes..

Not seen the burger van outside the pub for recent matches - is it going to be there again? Is the pub becoming a car sales? The reason I ask is that I have noticed that there is car for sale in front of the pub and one for sale on the road near the pub. The burger van chaps decided not to do it anymore. I think they are on this forum and could give you more info.

You know something we know, nothing to do with the pub though.
