Was my sisters dad, took me to a couple of my earliest Oxford games, and as you say was a big fan.
Nice one for putting this up mate, hopefully a couple more who knew him see this and comment, and will be sure to pass on the messages to my sister.

Billy first started coming to the manor with his dad and my family, we stood on the osler rd together year after year, following our team who we were so proud of, billy always had his shirt on and not a top from one of the big boys like most kids his age, he will be so badly missed and taken far too young. Rip Bill gone but never forgotten.

I know it doesn't matter in the context of the thread, but if he was your sisters dad, wouldnt he be yours ? I must have known him. R.I.P.

Sorry for your loss mate. Would be good on these threads if a pic was put up. I think a lot of fans would know people by face after years of supporting together but not necessarily by name.

Less responsible as older than Billy by couple of years. Basically I got the tickets but didn't want to have OxfordBoy tagging along with me as I wanted to have a few sherberts.

Went out in Brighton after the match)..... Wycombe away (again in the cup?......Tommy Mooney scored the winner for them.... in front of the travelling Oxford fans... Billy was,in the Oxford Mail pic of the goal going in)

Billy was a top lad who was always with me and my brother as a young lad, looking back we may have not been the best role models. He was with me last year at Pompey when things got a bit nervy as was bonfireman, who was a great help to me !,,,,, , he will be sadly missed by all that knew him, but his mum, dad and sister have lost such a massive part of their lives which will be so hard to move on from

Tommy mooney scored late on for us.was a mission to find a pub open after the game so we ventured off the beaten track to a pub on a housing estate which upon entry was the equivalent of the fox or the ox. There was about 10 of us and caused a bit of a stir with the locals who looked as if they'd been in there for a month or so without seeing the light of day. They proceeded to try and sell us anything from coke to dogs to their sisters for an hour. Billy's face was a picture and decided he wasn't that thirsty all of a sudden and 'would get a couple of cans from the shop'.
