Just read that Harry Fearnley has died aged 77. The 'older' fans amongst us will remember him from our early days in the league and he was our keeper during the famous giant killing cup run that took us to the 6th round in 1963/64 season.

Harry 'hairy legs' Fearnley according to Big Ron always travelled down on the train to home games with a celeb or two in the same carriage:-) .... apparently a good story teller as well as shot stopper. RIP Harry

It was 1963 actually. I think all the time he was with us he still lived in Yorkshire and travelled down for games. Not quite in line with our policy now! He was also affectionately known as 'Fumbling' Fearnley by a number of fans ;D

We always knew him as 'The Juggler'. Great shot-stopper, but not very confident on crosses. Sad Loss

I felt genuine sadness when hearing about "H" as he was known. I saw him play in the 60's. Decent goalie and decent man.
R.I.P.
