Small article hidden in the programme today. Sounds like a good idea. Player appearances , regular match posters and flyers, offers for raffles / auctions.

I like this idea. Its a good way to spread the Oxford United message, and for pubs to benefit to

I wonder if the Priory will sign up? apparently the pubs should aspire to run minibuses to games. It would save scrambling up the car park at the kasstad. But seriously this is a great idea I hope the club can find Oxford pubs in every town village and community in the shire and encourage the people who are lost for something to do to follow their local team.

Not joking but that was my exact idea mentioned on here a good while back I remember reading the suggestion on the forum, god to see the club going ahead with it. Hopefully it will increase attendance and awareness of the club as well as strengthening community ties.

Small article hidden in the programme today. Sounds like a good idea. Player appearances , regular match posters and flyers, offers for raffles / auctions. I think this is an excellent idea. As I am living on the South coast I was in the New forest and on my way to Salisbury. In nearly every pub I visited going to wards Salisbury, there were posters/flyers advertising the next game. I thought then it would be a great Idea for Oxford. Plus if you got pubs/clubs running mini buses etc surely this would bring in the fans?

How are pubs meant to find out and get involved with this when even Oxford fans have heard virtually nothing on this? Great idea, but needs greater publicity

A mate from work, i think goes to the Catherine wheel is it in Littlemore? said they'll prob join. And i only know of the angel in Witney that has a fair few OUFC fans drink in, around my way. Anymore? Something was put on the website yesterday or Tuesday. I think the club need to be more proactive on this than just putting something on the website. If it takes off i think its going to be a really big thing that helps pubs, fans and the club

Think us fans could be the driving force behind this..
Those living in Oxford or the suburbs should mention it next time they are in their local. The club prob nee to promote it a bit more, but we're the ones that can make the real differerence with an idea like this.

I have been informed that the priory will be given the first match this season,as a kick off for the pub partnership scheme, and players will be present,a plaque issued, plus other stuff, and it`s all free as a big thank you for helping the club, i can assure you all it`s me who should be thanking them, the play off semi win kept me in business, the players coming over after was a massive bonus, what a nite that was !!, the coaches leaving, picking up loads of business, those two games defo kept the pub afloat, boy are we struggling now !!!, we are hanging by a thread....

It would no doubt help if U's fans local to the area who normally only use The Priory on match days were to call in a for a beer during 'close season' -maybe getting some publicity through the Ox mail etc? No doubts the Pub owner would help if he could...
