This seems like it could be a good section for people to post in memory of those U's fans no longer with us?
Gone But Not Forgotten.

That's a brilliant idea. I think I'll start with a mate of mine called Keith who's been gone for a few years now. Good guy, and loved the club

My dad. Season ticket holder for 40 odd years and the reason I support them. Managed to get him up to his last game at the kassam from sobel house. With a bit of help from Les Taylor putting a word in. Firoz gave us a box free of charge so family could go up with him. He couldn't talk at that point, and despite some muppet of a steward not allowing him to take his oxygen into the ground to start with, he really enjoyed it .

John (From Littlemore) McKiernan? Used to be a regular phone-in on Radox. Dry Wit and straight as a die. Also, I know his brother -Pat, anyone seen/heard from him lately?

Bob Hammick from St Anne's Road in Headington who was responsible for dozens of future supporters by his help on match days. Even when he was very ill at the end he still went to the Manor right up until the end back in the eighties

Pat McKiernan sadly died in 2011 I'm shocked and saddened, Pat Couldn't have been very old. I knew him from his time working at Brasenose College, he was always cheerful and chatty. Sadly missed.

My Mate of over 30years Neil Saunders who died earlier this year, He was a big Oxford United Fan. He went to Wembley 1986 and 2010. I used to go to many matches with him at the Manor. He would always stand on the left side London Road with myself and other mates,Mike Griffin, Paul Gaynard etc. He was brought up in Chinnor and he later moved to the Ipswich area. He used to go to many away games as well, I remember we went to Birmingham with my other mate from Aylesbury called Mike Griffin (Farmer) 1994/95 season, Stockport that season and also Brentford. I remember Neil chanting songs at the manor against sides like Chelsea and West Ham. One match against West Ham at the Manor, he had a work mate who was a West Ham fan he stood with us in the London Road. Neil was a top bloke with a wealth of Knowledge on football and Oxford United. My last match I saw with him was against Southend at Home last season.
Neil Saunders 1969-2014 RIP

the old lady who was always at the front of the London Road Stand, cant remember her name. Was it Winifred or something like that? Have not seen here for years, nor did I ever meet her but she was Oxford through and through.

Have not seen here for years, nor did I ever meet her but she was Oxford through and through. Sure that's Winnie Crawford. Always a regular in the old supporters bar & LRT. Didn't she presented with flowers from Malcolm Shotton on her 90th birthday?

That's the one. Wonderful lady. I talked to her one time and her favourite player was John a Durnin. She was a real character. RIP
