Great news as long as he is not rushed back and ends up crocked again

When will he be back playing though? Was the original estimate January?

Hopefully he's back at the beginning of November, then i'd like to see him used sparingly as a sub until Barnett goes back, which would be 4-5 games, then give him a start or 2 and see how he handles it

I reckon he'll be back training with the rest of the squad in couple of weeks. Appleton said this time, he's going to play 2/3 dev games before being picked for the matchday squad. So i guess it'll end of Oct start of November then he'll be on the bench. We'll have a month with a striker force of Barnett, Hoskins, Hylton and Morris. Surely one of the best in this league.

I'm actually VERY excited to have Hoskins back in the team soon. I think we have one hell of a player in him (staying injury free of course). This man won't need asking twice to put the ball in the onion bag

Will Hoskins is back in training now and the club will arrange a couple of development/friendly games for him and other player over the next couple of weeks.

Great news, last time he never played any dev games before playing. We don't need to rush him into action with our strikers doing well at the mo. He'll be match fit by the time Barnett leaves in mid December. I do think a match fit Hoskins will be the best striker in this league.

Our new striker is able to play in Development games too, so they might start building up a playing relationship.
Which is nice.

Excellent news, he'd become the forgotten man. A real asset, and a massive boost for the rest of the season, fingers crossed! Remains a real question mark... We were told he'd be back for January. Since he hasn't even played a Development Squad game yet, four weeks before Xmas, January looks the earliest. At that point he will have played only a tiny handful of games in over two years. In that time, he has picked up three serious injuries (3 months out or more) and further niggles. Sad to say - given that he seems a great bloke - that he is one further serious injury away from having to call it quits. Must be a horrible situation, when this is what you've always wanted to do... Fingers crossed that he can break the hoodoo.

It's easier for the club now as they know Hoskins and how his body works. The sports science will help to ensure he doesn't go too early.

I'm looking forward to seeing many games with Oxford this season now. I have a hunch we will be in the mix later this season
