The Yellow Army website has just gone live! www.yellowarmy.co.uk/It's been a long haul getting it ready and a very big thank you must go to fellow Yellows Liam and Kath Faulkner (Twenty3Design) for designing and building the website and Greig Box Turnbull for writing all of the content. The site is designed to be the home of the Yellow Army online - it will be updated regularly with YA news and content. Have a look around and get to know it - the photo gallery is cool, for example. Do leave feedback and let us know what you think - hopefully we can develop it so there is something for everyone on it. We're planning to get a YA You Tube channel linked to it, so fans can upload and share video content from matches. Fellow fans are free to take part in the website - whether writing a blog, or suggesting ideas. Cheers

Looks good on the iPhone and I like this very clear non-political statement about the whole purpose of the YA:
"It has simple aims: to raise money for the Oxford United Youth and Community Trust (youth and women’s team), support the club where required, improve the match-day experience and bring the club, supporters and wider Oxfordshire community closer together."

We're really keen to make the site interactive and for all. Send any pix or video footage to: info@yellowarmy.co.uk Hopefully we'll get a Yellow Army video channel going - mainly of singing at matches and displays. Equally if anyone fancies contributing a blog or match-report, please email in. At the moment there's a fantastic set of photos in the gallery from the club archive, this will be added to across the season. Plus there's a blog , all the latest YA news and a shop.

Looks really smart, agree it's better than the official OUFC site. For some reason many football club websites are poor.

Yeah most seem pretty much to be cut and paste versions of each other. Something as big as the football league you could be excused for having higher expectations.

I have an iPad 2 and when you go onto the OUFC site scroll down the home page and under the "club shop" bar you just click "switch to Desktop version".

I saw something about polythene UK donating 6000 resealable plastic bags to the Yellow Army. What are they going to be used for please?

There should be responsive design built in to recognise if users are on a desktop, smartphone or tablet. Desktop is not particularly user friendly for tablets either. I'll stop moaning now!
