As you say keep the faith. Hopefully the boys will have read the Pompey comments and will welcome the opportunity to poke them where the sun doesn't shine

OK I know we are all feeling a little flat after the York game but I genuinely feel we can get into the playoffs Vs Scunthorpe....... will be tough of course but there is no reason why we cannot win or at least draw this one. Our boys will be fired up for it. They have conceded 40 goals this season - more than any of the current four teams in the play-off spots and four goals less than us. The only predictable thing about this league is its unpredictability ! Vs Accrington........for me an out and out 3 points. Unlike us they don't have much to play for and Mr Beattie is highly likely to give many of his youngsters a run out. He is big on youth. Vs The Cobblers.........there will be so many players wanting to stick one up the old Gaffer, I see a humiliating defeat for a soon to be relegated Northampton. Our traveling support will be brilliant and a true 12th man. 3 points Either York or Southend are sure to slip up in some shape or form. KEEP THE FAITH........let's get behind them...COYYs !!!!!!!!

'Fired up'? We weren't fired uo when we played York so why should Scu.thorpe be different?

Not much faith to keep out of that yesterday, there keeper never made a save! That was two teams not good enough to get promoted.I'm all set for another season in this dire, not much better than the conference league.Putting season ticket prices up as well, the chore has become even bigger to drag myself up the soulless triangle.

It's about time that someone beat Scunny...who better to do that than us, being the unpredictable team we are? And Bury put 3 past York. We're back in 7th with 2 games to play.
(Of course, then we're likely to lose to Accrington and play out a tame draw with the Cobblers!)
(Sorry...that bit of pessimism just leaked out by mistake.)

I suspect we won't ... But we could... But it's need a miracle I think:
Southend have Accy, Fleetwood and Burton to play... I can't see them getting more than 4 points from that
York have bury, Newport and scunthorpe ... I can't see them getting more than 6 from that
So... Seeing as our GD is fucked now, we need 7 points from the last 3 games. A minimum of a point at scunny to start... If we do that (remote possibility!!!) then I think it will be in our hands by beating Accy and then a massive game at the cobblers. Like I said, needs a miracle.

We Can do this.. ??....No we bloody can't. Sorry still feeling deeply p*ssed off after yesterday. How would you be feeling if the ref hadn't allowed himself to be overruled by the lino, or Raynes's header had gone just inside the post rather than outside? The game in every other way would have been the same, but we'd have drawn. It's not that we'd have played any better, but I think that we'd all be looking forward to the Scunny game. Realistically, we'd be in almost exactly the same situation--needing to get 7 more points to have a reasonable chance of making the playoffs. So I reckon we still can do this--just need better officiating, better luck, and calmer heads near goal!

what did we see yesterday (or all season at home ) that even remotely gives confidence of getting the required results.
it was back in our hands before yesterday and we still failed to realise it.
The door has been left open many times already but unfortunately we keep slamming it shut in our own faces.

I think both us and York will get the same amount of points from the next two games, leaving a two point gap going into the final game.
So the scenario will be something like: We have to win at Northampton and York take no more than a point at Scunthorpe. If York drew then we would be needing a victory by at least two clear goals to get in the playoffs on virtue of goal difference.
