To the Yellow Army
I asked on another thread abuot the current state of the fund which you have been working hard to achieve but don't seem to have any further news. Was interested to know the breakdown of all the activities and which fraction has raised what monies. Plus how much has been raised by the club for taking entrance money from the door to the bar. A meeting was planned but I doubt that impacts what is in the fund.
I know a friend who was active in the 12th Man group told me that the 12th Man Xmas raffle which was done by Don, Ray and Trevor raised £1000. Other activities have been done such as the Party, auction, walk plus t-Shirts and mugs. It was also suggested the £7000 that was held by 12th Man (from 2012-13) at the start of the season would be included into the £20,000 target.
Is it possible for anyone connected to the yellow army or the 12th man to make a comment especially as we are half way through a transfer window. Mr Lambert normally makes informative posts on this as he runs the 12th man group and the yellow army.

I agree that it would seem an appropriate time to update everybody on where we are on this?

Thanks for startng this thread i've addressed this in a few different threads straight after events and also in the 'response' thread in OxVox section. But i'm happy to clarify Yellow Army initiatives:
Dave Langan fund raised an amazing £5146 and Dave got paid this months ago Yellow Army party made a profit of £1555 (£300 outstanding is for a box at the fleetwood game and was agreed to be paid before that date) Yellow Army Walk - 12th man last week held £2,322 and £1,161 is available to OUFC. About £200 extra was paid over on Sat and an aditional £150 is still to be collected by Torquay game.
12th Man has openly said £12,921 is the current total and at the start of the season the figure was £7,331. Circa £2k has apparently been made from entry to 12th man bar.
So total available from all parts of the Yellow Army is £14,908 (excluding outstanding amounts still owed).
Really great effort by the fans for supporting all the initiatives.

After this is there going to be any more money to, for example get a loan striker?

Thank you for the details Mark.
If I try and break this up the the marvellous 12th Man Team of Fundraisers (namely Don Gale, Trevor Lambert, Mr Whitaker, Sue Trafford and the Programme Man Michael) have raised £3590.00 from item selling. That's pretty good going for six months of Yellow Army work (this is added to the £7331 which was been raised and sat in a bank over the previous couple of years and is being lumped into this new YA pot).
The football club have taken £2000 on entrance monies which the 12th Man people handled kindly on their behalf.
Yellow Army schemes saw money raised to Dave Langan - but this isn't included in any £20,000 target. They raised (OxVox and YA) a fantastic £5146.00 in a number of weeks to help buy a house for David. Is that right?
The Party BBQ raised a further £1555 after costs, a significant contribution for a one night event. Finally the Yellow Army Walk raised a further £1161 for the fund but £2322 was the amount raised - was a charity getting the balance then? So YA have raised £9023 but £5146 went to David Langan.
That is a great set of figures and chuffed the football club can spend some of it on a player. £14098 is a decent loan signing I suspect. Although foley mentions it has been spent on Williams?
To confirm, YA have raised £9023 and the 12th Man have brought in circa £3590 since the Yellow Army was launched but I see the yellow voice forum is crediting the entire total (or 86% of it) to 12th Man. How sad they still keep bitching on about Mark when £9000 has been raised for good causes and the fundraisers have raised £3590. Keep up the good work, creidt should go to all but it's disgraceful that the good efforts of YA are being put down when they have raised double.

My mistake, I thought that I read somewhere that Williams re-signing to the end of the season had used some of the funds.
If not then great. Based on what people have been saying about Marsh and with Smalley's poor performances recently, I would hope that we tried to get a striker on loan to the end of the season. Somebody of the calibre of Wroe who could make the difference and help us to move up the table.
I wonder whether this is being considered with 2 weeks left of the transfer window?

Oh and as a follow up from what telephus said, I agree fully that it is a big 'well done' to all who have used their spare time to raise funds for the club. Let's hope that the money is used and used wisely.

Thanks Telephus. Yellow Army is a collaboration of OxVox, 12th man, club, ultras etc. Great work has been done by both YA and 12th man in fundraising area everyone that's helped or donated deserves praise. Certainly YA was no part of last season's total but substantial sums have been raised for the club and good causes this year, which is great to see.
As for the other forum it doesn't matter they attack us wanting info on figures despite these beeing posted on this forum for ages and now that its been addressed again there has to be something to moan about! If you read any of my posts never have i belittled the efforts of anyone involved or said who's done more than others. Quite why anyone wants to criticise anyone for raising funds for good causes is beyond me.

Some great totals. I too thought Williams loan was paid for by the 12th man fund, great news if not, and would love for that money to be spent in the next 2 weeks towards a much needed signing. 1 more signing of the same calibre as Wroe and with Meades, Potter and Whing all back in the next month, our squad will look strong going into the final 1/3 of the season.

Latest figures.
First, 12th Man (of which I am treasurer):
The 12th Man Fund account currently holds a total of £14,384.
This consists of £7,331 carried over unspent from the whole of last season, plus £7,053 made so far this half season.
Of the £7,053 (for the sake of transparency), £2,005 has to date been taken in door entrance donations and is in the fund. The bulk of the money comes from sales of merchandise, from flag bearer packages, from golden goal tickets sold in the bar, from donations and so on. One or two larger items stand out. The Christmas raffle organised by Ray Whittaker raised £1,066. Michael North has recently passed £980 to the 12th Man from sales in the first half of the season. Great efforts both.
So, almost all of that £14,384 is available to the club for a new player (we would want to retain a few hundred pounds as working cash).
Next, Yellow Army events.
Walk: I handled sponsorship money for the YA walk and today banked a final payment from one of the walkers, received last night. This brings the amount raised to £2,817, so £1,408 each to Yellow Army and to Helen and Douglas House Children’s Hospice. Party: Money was managed by Mark Sennett & OxVox, the latest figure he has mentioned is £1,555 profit. £300 outstanding for a box was collected by me last night and banked across to OV at lunchtime today.
So there is another £2,900 or so from those two events.
These are all good figures and there is a decent amount available to the club as and when it chooses to use it, as it is aware.

Pleased to clarify telephus - it shows how tricky it can be to post something that is absolutely clear! The £2900 is in addition to the £14,384. I said £2,900 when perhaps it would have been more obvious if I said £1408 + £1555 = £2963, rather than giving £2900 as a round number.

OK.
So in fact there is £17347.00 available to the football club through the Yellow Army/12th Man efforts. The confusion on my part was that it's trying to be split (you said £14384 is available to the club for a new player when in fact it's £17347) and I suspect there is a reason why its being reported in such a split fashion? The rumours on other forums suggest that.
Of course this fantastic initiative has done much more than raise £17347.00. It has raised money for charity and money for David Langan to buy a house. So £23901 has been raised in total (although £7331 was from the original 12th Man efforts from 2012-13). We should also be grateful to the club for the £2005 they have chucked into the pot.
Well done everyone.

For fundraising, would it not be best to have one treasurer and one fund (so that it is clear to everybody)? Trevor did a very good response so thank you for that but as has been said I am not sure whether the club or supporters care whether it is split into 2 bits. The total to spend is £17,347. That is what matters and everybody in whichever group should be congratulated for spending their time and effort raising this.

Is there likely at some point to have different pots to direct any donations etc to?
For instance I would happily donate to a dedicated fund that went towards securing a stadium whether that was our current home or an alternative. Whilst I'm not silly enough to think we could raise millions, even a modest amount could be used in conjunction with other partners so at least fans had a stake in it?
I'm sure there's other worthy funds that could be setup i.e. Players, Youth, Supporters Club venue etc.

Couldn't agree more but lets hope that Trevor lambert and his hard working committee gets the praise they deserve, for it is they who have raised the bulk of this money. No doubt the usual protagonists will jump on the bandwagon for their own publicity. A great step by 12th man to distance itself from the now gang of three.
