Interesting to hear that after all the worry over the attendance figures the club are actually up on revenue from attendances than budgeted.
It seems that the club are working well with reducing the heavy losses and are on target to be where they want to be come the end of the year.
The stadium issue will be a slow and steady progress with regards of purchasing it IMO. IL won't just buy it at any price and why should he if the club can work without it.
He seems to be careful not to put too much pressure on Wilder with regards to saying that we must get promotion this season, although I think we know that is the main goal this season.
Over all I think the club are doing excellent things off the pitch.

Be better to spend the extra 5 minutes and read the announcement on Oxvox.
I am a touch surprised that Mr L stated that "Attendance revenues are currently up against those budgeted for the season." Did he expect attendances to fall even further than they have?
Nevertheless I am broadly positive: everything apart from the finances seems to be going well as long as we play the developing players so we can maximise their value. Maybe next year.

I try not to post much that directly impinges on the running of the club, because it's not my place, and I take the point you're being optimistic, but, really? If anything, that suggests he got it right, knows how many fans to budget on getting through the gate, and is over performing. Successful businessmen are paid to know their market and turn that into cash....

I'd rather the club budget on the basis of realistic attendance figures and get the possibility of being over projection, than be the other way and get a bigger loss.

I've suggested this several times, but perhaps the reported crowd and actual revenues weren't actually as good as they seemed in previous season due to freebies and concessions. So this season we have I guess fewer season ticket holders, but comparatively more income from pay-on the day.

That's a good shout slappy.
Interesting that Lenagan was pinned down on forecasted loss for this season, which from my reading suggests it's almost £500k! Lots of work to do in a 12month period to get that down by ankother £500k. Will be interesting to see the impact the new commercial staff have between now and the start of next season and it's good to see they are already proactive on this front accroding to the notes.
Overall I can't think of anything key that wasn't asked on there. Shame we will never know on the revenue share agreement but I bet Ka$$am but the block on it comming out.
I just had a look over on the YV forum good to seem even they've not bashed OxVox on this.
[Edit} I take it back Mr50Cos has just made the most ridiculous post on there. Who is this person and what is his/her problem? He/she posted the following: 'I am amazed that anyone in business would bother with such activities. If I ever had to endure such a stupid agenda I would decline any future such gatherings and do something exciting like shopping or mowing the lawn.'
Wasn't that 'stupid agenda' put together from OxVox members sending in questions? So that makes OxVox members stupid on that basis according to this tool. From what i can see OxVox asked questions about squad strengthening, club finances, stadium purchase, marketing/commercial plans, who Lenagan's football league invovlement helps OUFC, and for updates on youth/sports science/training ground. How the f*ck are those stupid question? It never ceases to amaze me how some fans when behind a keyboard come accross like utter muppets and you have to wonder what they hope to achieve. As i've said many times before easy to criticise those fans who actually do something rather than do something yourself. Obviously he thinks Lenagan is stupid too for meeting with fans cleary the owner doesn't feel the same way.

I think IL is being realistic with the projected loss. It's not pretty reading in the slightest, but at we know he is projecting that. It shouldn't come as a surprise in all honesty.

You come across as scary in real life Eric. Are you? Only when I don't get my own way!!! I'm the nicest bloke you could meet, Potters, as you well know, but some of the idiots out there do wind me up, and patience isn't my strong point.

I will take your word for it Eric!! Looks like i was as premature as Boris Becker with my praise of YV for not hijacking this subject. Looks like the circus is out in force again and back to accusing every Yellows Forum person of being on the oxvox board! No doubt Eric Read and Sarge are next to be nammed as current occupants of the oxvox board. As they love a good pic over there perhaps we can do a caption of the pic below to guess who the posters are:

I'd rather the club budget on the basis of realistic attendance figures and get the possibility of being over projection, than be the other way and get a bigger loss. Indeed. A welcome change. Nothing really new in there Simon, but thank you for asking my long standing question about Stadium ownership, even though the answer from Rent Boy was 100% predicable and negative. Ditto about the new catering sharing agreement with Firoka. i.e. none of your business... Meanwhile, do OxVox have any comment(s) to make on the very recently published accounts released by WPL? Like how much money a week we can afford to continually owe them even though IL kindly(?!?) doesn’t charge interest on the £6m debt? // Like some others it would be interesting to compare the published “attendances” figures to turnstile statistics regarding the people who actually turn up, but although the club know the difference it’s never been a set of numbers that has ever been revealed. Obviously it will be lower as ST holders are always included whether they attend or not.

Oh dear, it would appear that I don't have the approval of, Ken on Yellow Voice.
Reading, and listening, to his ramblings, I think I would be more concerned if I DID have his approval!
Fox Yellow was the previous recipient of this prestigious award. Wonder who'll be next?
Yellow Voice > Forums > General > Yellows Forum's Intellectually Challenged of the Week Prize
This week's winner is Eric Read. He doesn't suffer fools gladly, has no patience with idiots. Don't look in the mirror Eric. This would really upset you. He's always using the word arse. I'm saying nowt cos he hasn't got any patience. Scary or wot? I'm shaking in my boots. You gotta laugh Mr5. They're good value. Ken __________________ "It was a perfect marriage. The poster known as Ken/Karim is an idiot. I see that he has been banned or binned from the YV forum.
