The Yellow Army Big Walk takes place on the morning of Saturday November 23rd just 3 weeks from today.
We need more walkers to sign up and raise money. You can sign up today in the 12th Man Bar before or after the game, or be emailing me on walk@ox12thman.org.uk to sign up or find out more.
There will be 4 simultaneous walks from Woodstock, Cholsey, Eynsham and Thame each led by one of me, Charlie Methven, Mark Sennett and Joe Nicholls. We wanted to demonstrate that fans come from all over Oxfordshire by running a walk (bad pun, sorry) from all over the county - the walks are from (approx) north, south, east and west. Each walk will be about 12 miles and should take 3.5 hours or so arriving at teh stadium by 1pm. Money raised will be split 50/50 between Helen and Douglas House and the transfer kitty for Chris Wilder in January. Les Phillips is on board with it and we are hopeful of other 'names' to join the walkers.
But to reiterate, we do need walkers to agree to do the walk in the next few days and have the time to get sponsors, so please sign up and ask your mates. It should be a great morning and you'll meet fans you haven't met, in a common cause. You might even like some of them!
Just to emphasise that this is a joint Yellow Army initiative with all groups working together, for convenience on this one we are using the 12th Man website for donations etc and if you visit ox12thman.org.uk/2013/11/join-the-yellow-army-big-walk/ you will find a sponsorship form downloadable, and a button for online donation to the walkers should that take your fancy.
