To the left side for creating a great atmosphere today.
As for the right side....

Good atmosphere today, much louder and far more positive than last Saturday. Keep it up!

Play that sort of nice passing quick football and the crowd will get behind u. People need to tell friends how much better it was today and get the attendances to start creeping up

Credit to the club today. I genuinely believe we helped influence those last 5mins of the first half.
Top effort

Credit to the club today. I genuinely believe we helped influence those last 5mins of the first half. Top effort I am glad you said that. The United We Stand message really meant something today, and we as fans really made an effort, which paid off. I was told after the game that the players had commented on how good the atmosphere was today, and I would say to that we pushed the team on to get those 2 goals. Players and fans, United. Top effort by the Yellow Army, and well done to all the players, staff and management on a great win. When we are in it together, we can achieve so much more. Today made me proud. Next stop, Accrington. Then a big game under the lights against Exeter.

Even Alan was positive in the Radio Oxford 'phone in tonight. Yes, I heard that too. No comment from 'Dougie' though, or was there? Btw, did you air your views?

Haha fair play to the left-side today - was good and loud throughout.
We were singing on the right, although I think there's some guys round me who complain about the left side singing too fast!
Really like that we retain something of the London Road in our new home.

People sang a lot more and loudly, but what was nice was the lack of moaning. The fans got behind the team and it felt enjoyable to go to a game. The usual suspect near me was quiet all game. It was bliss.

The left side have more singers, and yes, do create more noise that us on the right (Credit to them for that), but the problem is, they sing at 100mph. The Johhny Cash Ring of fire (Yellow and blue army)sounds great, when sung properly, but when it is reduced to about 5 different notes because it's being sung so fast it becomes a drone. Obviously its not intentional of the left side to sound like this, and the solution would be for the club to introduce a singing section where one and all can congregate and sing, but the left side need to take a pill or two less before kick off, because it sounds like they are in fast forward. This is how it should sound!! www.youtube.com/watch?v=XgPAem7Tj-0

Younger fans prefer hyper paced songs (which leaves me breathless after about 3 lines) So it's going to happen

To keep the song going for as long as we did, was impressive, and it had an impact on the team. For me, it really worked today

But its doesn't sound good, its not just that song, its every song, I'm not trying to knock the left side here, this is constructive, take the pace down a notch or two and it will sound class.

I get what you are saying, but after many home games with little atmosphere, today was a step in the right direction. It is important to improve on things, so constructive advice is good.

If you're after advice, can I make one for corners? Although we sing 'Come on you Yellows' as the corner taker gets ready, it always stops before the corner is taken. It therefore gets a bit flat when the ball is delivered - think it would create more momentum for the players if we carried on as the ball is delivered. Just a thought.

Beano's song needs something before it, because by the time the whole stand is singing it we're onto "JAMES CONSTABLE OXFORDS NUMBER 9"
Have an "OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" at the start maybe? Then everybody knows it's coming.

Yeah, I know its not anyones intention, and it's only due to the fact that all the singers are split up, and yes today was good... All I am saying though, is its impossible for the right side to join in with the songs the left side start off, because they are gone in a flash. All I am trying to say here is, slow down a tad and the hard work you put in starting them off will bring better rewards!

Just need half a dozen to agree to sing COYY about 10 times and it would soon catch on for good

As someone who sits in the SSU, I feel a massive pat on the back should be given to the London Road (East stand), the noise was excellent and you were the 12th man.

And before any 'Lefties' blow a gasket- yes you lot did pretty good yesterday, and may have just edged it in the volume stakes, this time. But obviously the majority of LEFT siders are a bit long in the tooth and therefore can only manage short bursts, that's why we on the opposite side tend to give you a bit of time, and patience!! Right side, left side, North or South stand, we are all part of the Yellow Army, and are all behind Oxford United. Some friendly banter is good, but whoever is the loudest doesnt matter, it only matters how loud we are all together.
Everyone played their part yesterday. Just clapping along in the North or South stands mean we are all backing the team together.
I am looking forward to the next home game, and making even more noise.

It was good to see the South and North stand joining in and clapping along to the songs from the East Stand. People could feel the atmosphere right through the stadium, which was brilliant.
