Setting off from Lincoln at 3.00pm in the hope of seeing a cracking match and getting the monkey off our backs in view of our poor home record this season. Its a shame there will be less than 4000 in attendance however I suppose it will still be the highest crowd of the evening. I imagine there will be some new faces starting with a few looking to regain their early season form. Looking forward to a high scoring game Come on you yellows . OXFORD UTD - 4 Portsmouth - 3 ATT - 3800-3900 (Just over 1000 from the south coast)

Attack, attack, attack, attack, attack
5-5 with 2 goals for Utd in injury time.
Now THAT was an entertaining game.

Was going, but after another dire performance on Saturday I decided not to. I suspect many more will do likewise, Fickle! I hear you say, and that's your prerogative, from my angle i'm not risking putting myself through another 90+ minutes of the standard of football served up by CW's teams at home- and paying for the privilege.
I sincerely hope I regret the decision and the match is a cracker with us scoring a few goals. UTM.

COYY Still watch that on youtube occasionally Tonight, with a lower than usual attendance, maybe, just maybe, the team will play as we all want them too, quick, accurate passing to feet, shots on goal, I'll settle for an exciting 3-3 draw, then a 10-9 penalty shoot out win Needs to be a good so my brother can go home to Australia tomorrow at least thinking I 'waste' my time watching a decent team

Not going. So here is what happens. We score a hat full with the finest display of fast flowing attacking football ever seen at the Stadium that dare not speak it's name. I kick myself for not going many, many times.
Turn up on Saturday full of renewed enthusiasm.
We get turned over by a Northampton team that has found some form. Sound plausible?

After all the problems with yellow player for the Southend game, does anybody know if this game is exclusively on yellow player or will the restrictions be lifted so that the game can be heard via Radio Oxford online ?. In the past, other games that have been cup games or friendlies have been broadcast direct without any restrictions. Maybe myself and others that rely on yellow player should start sending e-mails right away to the people behind yellow player in order to get the useless service working correctly when it's needed the most.

Good to see Ruffels and O'Dowda starting. Bit of fresh blood.
So all you fans going, get right behind the lads and don't moan if the younsters make a couple of errors. Support the WHOLE team and we'll get a result. No clean sheet (what's that?) but a win 4-2 or even maybe 4-3. But win we will!

Oxford 3 - 3 Portsmouth
O'Dowda with all six leading to the longest thread ever in YF history about his resepective merits and faults.

Team announced: Clarke Hunt, Raynes, Mullins, Newey Williams, Davies, Ruffels, O'dowda Potter Constable Subs: Hall, Rose, Smalley, Bevans, Crocombe
Complete opposite to my suggestion in the week of one change in each area of the team, Wilder has made all his changes in midfield.

I like the look of the team tonight, I feel our problem has been a lack of creativity (unless potter has a stormer) for a while, so good to give the younger ones a go and see if they can give the team a bit of spark.

Craddock not playing "because he has a niggle." Makes a change from a strop and a sulk I suppose.

Performance is all that counts tonight not the result, good luck to the young players starting tonight. Would have been good to hear an interview with the young lads from Oxford and hear what their thoughts are about the club and they way are treated

Evening all. Good to hear YP is working, so far, tonight. Good luck to the new boys in the team, and maybe we will get an attacking midfield to create the chances.
COME ON YOU YELLOWS

Surely getting a win lets us tinker again in the next round, so result does count to some extent?
Just hope Bevans gets a chance, it's harder giving a defender game time in a league game, so would have thought tonight was a good opportunity to do so....?
