Good win but don't u bet that Despite being top of league Football league show won't say anything about us. Couldn't give a toss, if they want to talk about Pompey all day that's fine by me. Keep doing what we are doing and the attention will come for all the right reasons.

Rigg pulled his hamstring. Alfie 3 stitches across his nose according to Wilder

Great win, especially with two home games to come. Its never as easy as you expect, but we should pick up at least 4 points over those two.
Long may this form continue. Come on you yellows!

Fantastic result. A very solid second half performance. Beano, what a strike. Smalley superb. I was even impressed with Hall today.
Great team effort, well done lads. Bring on Wycombe

Typical negative wilder - just the vote of confidence Beano needs to kick start his season - mug. Good management more like.

Excellent result! Great to know we can win when the opposition have 11 on the field as well.
More to the point, two more different goal scorers. People spoke before the game of us being over reliant on Kitson, but if we can keep scoring using a range of players (6 different goal scorers in three League matches) then it's a hallmark of a promotion side. Early days still.
Bring on Wycombe - hopefully with a fully fit Potter, Rigg and Kitson in the squad.

both teams we beat previously had convincing 3-0 wins today just goes to show how far we have come from last season

On paper, I would have said a team without Rigg, Potter and Kitson would struggle for goals. We got the goals today but would like to know more about our attacking play in general from those that were there...

Typical negative wilder - just the vote of confidence Beano needs to kick start his season - mug. Some still want to have a negative spin on the manager... After picking up 9 points out of nine, who is the mug?

Some interesting comments about us on the Turkey forum www.torquayfans.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=6133&start=75Oxford will be the most brutish, ugly, uncompromising, nasty team we face all season but the plain fact is that they stronger and fitter than us all over the pitch. They played a high tempo pressing game high up the pitch, I did not for one minute think that they could sustain it for 90 minutes but indeed they did and it led to an error strewn performance from us. Oxford are a dirty and ugly footballing side and the officiating was some of the worst I have ever seen. Oxford were a bit more physical but certainly not brutish and uncompromising or world beaters. Their defence was more aggressive and had a better understanding between the two centrebacks and consequently marshalled our front two better. Overall they scored from their opportunities and we didn't. Oxford, they may be top of the league, but won't be for much longer. They were no better than us today. The only difference was they took their chances. We didn't. Simples. we were on par with Oxford today. The only difference being one of the worst refereeing displays I've seen and luck.

Just looked at the Torquay forum, seems like a lot of sour grapes.
Long may it continue! Rather them than us.

I do enjoy reading the other team's forum especially just after we've won. We're not a "brutish, ugly, uncompromising, nasty team", however we've certainly toughened up a bit especially at the back, Newey, Hunt & Mullins have given us some welcome resolve.

I think it's good that we are being described as a team with a bit of a nasty streak and to think that Kitson didn't play and that Constable only played for part of the game - two of our, you would say, more brutish players.
All top teams have that ability to be a bit nasty when called for and it's a positive sign in my opinion and allied with good football it's a combination that has a promotion look about it.

I, too like reading other forums, when teams have been turned over. Was looking forward to Luton Outlaws until they equalized. Portsmouth said the same so lets hope they all have the same opinion during the season. I do not call it a nasty streak, which tends to be used as an excuse by losers, but we are certainly more competitive which is how I like to call it. We have flair players where they need to be, and so the mix looks promising.
