Match 3 in our quest to get out of this league - can we make it 3 wins out of 3......!? Our record at Torquay is not too shabby and in recent seasons there has been goals from both teams. Kitson is apparently nursing a shoulder injury but is expected to start in what is probably an unchanged team or the third league game running. A settled side is a successful side and with that, I expect our 100% start to continue in our new away kit. Torquay Utd - 1 Oxford UTD - 3 (Alfie, Rigg, Kitson) Att - 3067 (933 yellows)

Expected Torquay United Team:
Martin Rice
Tom Cruise (Dale Tonge suspended) Krystian Pearce Aaron Downes Kevin Nicholson
Courtney Cameron Lee Mansell (could play right back and Damon Lathrope comes into midfield) Ben Harding Billy Bodin
Karl Hawley Callum Ball
The danger could come down the flanks with Cameron and Bodin. Hawley is very decent up top.

I think if we make all the right moves; no risky business and our top gun fires we should be OK.

Well done Linconlyellow1 for starting the matchday thread. At least I can't get the blame if we don't do well.
But my cup is, as usual more than half full. A win by 1 goal in a very tight and nerveracking game. 0-1, 1-2 or even 2-3 would suit me fine. COYY

Saw lots of oufc supporters out and about yesterday down here - couplt that with those that come today and it should make for a decent turn out, I think 1069.
I fancy is to win this one, always goals in the fixture and our confidence will be high after a good start. 3-1 Oxford (potter, rose & Smalley)
COYY'S!

Heading off in a few minutes.
I see a tight game with few chances.
I think it is likely to be a 1-1 draw.
Mullins equaliser with 20 to go (33-1 with Paddy Power to be last goal scorer by the way).
7 points out of 9 would be a decent start, especially considering 2 were away.
Up the Manor!

I see in the OM that Ryan Clarke "Wants to keep a clean sheet today" I hate it when keepers say things like that. It usually means 1-0 down after two minutes!

Think it will be a draw today, going for 2-2 with goals from Potter & Smalley, and as a result both players joint top goals scorers in league 2 after today's games.

The three games so far have a superb one (Portsmouth), a crap one (Charlton), and a mediocre one(Bury). It'll be interesting to see which one this will turn out to be! I'd settle for a mediocre win any day!!

I'm feeling confident about a win. We'll go 1 up from a Mullins header, they'll get a goal back and a draw will look inevitable until Rigg scores a late scrambled goal after Smalley's initial shot from a Potter cross is parried by their keeper.
Gutted I'm not there today. Come on you yellows!!!!!

There just seemed to be some sort of inevitability about it. That kitson, a possible star player for the season, would get injured, but after just one league game, come on. That's three out injured already this season.

That's three out injured already this season. he'll only be out for one game - at least its not a serious or reoccurring injury, that would worry me. Im hopeful of another good result today.

Short term injuries we can live with, long term to key players then we're struggling .
