After a few fans posting from different parts of the world, and a couple of pictures posted, a suggestion was to have one thread, with all stories and pictures from fans around the world.
If you are on holiday, or live abroad, and have any pictures with an Oxford shirt, or it's Oxford United related, or want to introduce yourself, then it would be great for it to all be in one place here.

Hello, I spend my time commuting between Grenoble Road (sorry can't say the K word) and Jomtien in South East Thailand. I saw the Bury game and will be back to see the Wycombe and the Oxvox SGM / Rochdale game the week after.
I admit I am an OUFC nut!

I think everyone knows me. Live in Singapore, previously Hong Kong. Used to live in North Oxford, Woodstock, Cowley and Kidlington. Only started supporting the Yellows in my teenage years, mainly due to being best mates with Joey. Am in my early 40's. Work in finance. Amateur storm chaser and avid traveller. Am sure a few posters can and will say a few good and bad words about me

Greetings, JL.
First, let me say "thanks" for all that you've done to make the match-day experience better. I also appreciate your posts--pretty balanced (or rather slightly optimistic, which is just fine) and in general doing all you can be get our supporters to actually support the team (something we'll undoubtedly need when going through one of our "rough patches").
I'm in my mid 60s now, but have been an avid supporter since the very end of our initial non-league days. As I haven't lived in Oxford since the early 1970s I had to keep up just by listening to short wave radio from Russia, the United States, or Brasil. It's incomparably better since Yellow Player came along, and I enjoy participating a little with the posters on this forum during the games. I read the site every day, but really can't comment on the players, matches, etc., as I so rarely get to see them.
For the most part I live in the US, where I teach at a university. But a lot of my research takes place in Brasil, which is where I spend a fair bit of time (at least 3 months every year, but this year all year long as I'm on sabbatical, working at a university in the deep south of the country).
Like HKY I'm an avid traveller...it's just that my travels typically don't take me to England. I did come back, of course, for the play-off final...what a brilliant day, and loved spending it in the company of Silver Ox.

And this was my original post a few weeks ago.... Good afternoon/evening everyone. I have finally got round to joining the forum, after enjoying it for the last few years without ever getting round to signing up..being a lazy git who is fundamentally against filling in any type of form... I live and work in Lima, Peru... though am originally from Banbury. I have been a big Oxford fan since the early 90s, when as a young, enthusiastic, fresh-eyed bushy- tailed teenager, I used to stand on the London Road supporting the legends that were Matty Elliot, Joey Beauchamp and Paul Moody (amongst others). Anyway, the other day I got wondering if I am the only Oxford fan in Peru? Can you imagine the excitement I would feel if there was another? I have mates out here who support Port Vale and Rochdale...which allows me to have some lower-league chat..but to have a real-life oxford fan here to share my misery with would be incredible... Despite the distance I still follow the club very closely and have been as disappointed as everyone else with the last few years since promotion back to the football league. However, I think the chairman has made a brave, yet sensible/rational decision in giving Wilder one more chance and with the signings we have made (obviously Kitson in particular) I have quiet hopes that this year could be more successful. I will be returning to the UK in February and really hope I will be able to watch some us in some serious promotion chasing matches... Good to meet you all. Here's to an exciting, successful 2013-14 season.... Read more: yellowsforum.co.uk/thread/14554/oxford-fans-peru#ixzz2bxKlH41C
