Living on the other side of the world it fills my heart with joy following our rise from the ashes. The discussions about our attacking style of play remind me of my personal glory days, when we were in the old 3rd division (league one for you younger ones). We were bloody fantastic then, thought we would score every attack and there was a feel good factor not just with the club and fans but through the whole city. Queuing for hours to get a cup ticket was a joy. Great to hear the younger generation of fans are feeling the positive vibes, you need to make it feel like a cauldron at home, the london road in its days couldn't be matched, time to do it again - and well done to the ultras for leading the way. My prediction, auto promotion with Swindon going down, and a significant shot of revenue in the club - would love to be back there at the moment - there is and never has been any other team, Oxford, born & bred!

Indeed - they were glory days micky and never to be forgotten. I wouldn't say we had anywhere near the momentum we had back then but there is a lot going right at the club at the moment and not just on the pitch.
Where do you live if you don't mind me asking?

How's the flood recovery getting on over there? we had lots of coverage of it over here but nothing for the past week or so. A great city by the way - spent a couple of days there during the (disastrous) Ashes tour of 2002/2003......

Its recovering but will take some time, some areas have been absolutely devastated. Great to see the community spirit when it came to the clean up.
Bet you enjoyed the ashes this time! Went to the 3rd day at the Gabba, barmy army did us proud!
