Another nondescript season Not long before Wilder goes I was beginning to think he had turned the corner...how wrong I was!

Just not good enough. Pretty much the same players that go 10 unbeaten now can't tackle or hit a cow's arse with a banjo. That kind of inconsistency is a management issue IMO. Its something we've had to live with for a few years now and it isn't getting any better.

Another nondescript season Not long before Wilder goes I was beginning to think he had turned the corner...how wrong I was! Just another false alarm mate, and insured he remained for the season. I can't wait for IL to fk him off at the end of the season, i will go down to the Kassam and do cartwheels.

One point in twelve now I think?
I can not put into words how angry I am - Wilder, most of my anger is aimed at you. You are at best a mid league two manager.
Nothing more.

If we just had the balls to get rid of him now - the new guy could have a chance to assess the situation before next season. Surely the'tipping point' has now happened Lenagan

Is this it then? Years of mediocrity in league 2. The odd battle against relegation, the odd good run. Crowds dropping to an average of 4k, then down to 3. When I started going as a kid we were shit and in what is now called league 1. I say shit because on reflection it was decent and more fun compared to the depressing, hopeless and ultimately directionless situation we now have. Ever curse where you are born and the team you got lumbered with?

I said when we lost to Sheff U that i thought we could be in for a repeat of what happened after the Leeds defeat. That was a run of 1 win in 7 before results picked up. Its 1 win in 5 for this latest slump.

To be honest why change now. It will cost money we do not have. Most of the current players will not be here next season no matter who is in charge so what can they learn. We really have little left to play for unless we slip further.
I would say keep Wilder unless this run continues. The summer is the time for massive changes at this club, it simply has to be.

I rather F**k him off now, but we will keep him until the end of the season. Then IL has plenty of time to conduct a proper interviewing process, and appoint the right man for the job.

Could be worse, Swindon held at home by bottom placed Hartlepool, so remain out of the top two... Luton now 7th, two places and six points and a -8GD off playoff places...and City won away at Workington

I'll reserve judgement on the performance until I've heard what other posters have said, but losing 2-0 at home to Bristol Rovers is a diabolical result.
Add to that, that's probably the worst XI I've seen put out all season. The back up players are simply not up to it. I'm a bit concerned I have to admit. We really aren't a very good side at the moment.

Potter MOTM? ? Which match were they watching? Dreadfully depressing afternoon. It helped to pass the time to put together my retained list for next season. Didn't get much further than Jake Wright. Then he conceded the penalty. Batt upped his game in the second half. I'll list below all the other plus points from today's game.

I have been to every game bar 1 one and that was one of the worst performances to date . Parker looked pretty decent perhaps he will get a run in the side . Wilder should do the decent thing and resign , he obviously cant get the best out of our players . There is no motivation coming from the bench , we never win any second balls ,all we seem to do is knock 60 - 70 yard long balls to nobody

How Potter got MOTM is beyond me Sent from my HTC One X using proboards Genuinely thought Potter was the worst player on the pitch. McCormick, Davis, Batt and maybe Montrose were okay though. Our attacking play was most certainly not.

Doncaster and Tranmere both lost so Swindon gained ground on them. I'd rather be third in League 1 than looking over our shoulder in League 2! Echo the City sentiments though. Well done to them today.

We really need a proper clean out in the summer. I honestly would only definitely keep Clarke, Wright, Rigg, Craddock and Constable. Maybe Whing and not sure about Batt.

The 2nd goal was an absolute joke. I didn't think you could take quick free kicks from 10/15 yards away from the foul when the Ref has blown his whistle to stop the game. But it summed the Ref up perfectly. Not strong enough and not consistent enough. Their 32 should have gone or persistent offending. Dirty git. Booking Richars was poor when it was a collision, Chapman's booking was marginal as their player fell over a couple seconds after the lack of contact.
They didn't deserve to win. We didn't make Mildenhall do enough but apart from the penalty (it was but we didn't get that from the Ref at our end) they did nothing but waste time, roll around on the floor and bully the Referee. Montrose deserved to be booked but some of their players were egging the Ref on for a red. What did North do in their dug out? Looked like he was a bit naughty.
Their fans are bunch of scum. Pure and simple. Scum. Much like the team (and management) really.

If I had the chance to sell who I wanted I would only keep: Clarke, Wright, Potter, Chapman, Rigg, Davis. Now I wouldn't sell beano because of his value but because I still don't he is good enough/ what we need. We need a forward who is going to score 20/25 goals a season . Beano is on a high wage and isn't producing the goods and hasn't since we have been in the league. 10 goals for 32 appearances this season isn't good enough. Similarly with Craddock I think he's a good player but hasn't scored enough for appearances. In my opinion it is no coincidence that the top 3 goal scorers in this league play for top 6 clubs. And before I get shot down by the Beano lovers because he 'brings so much to the team' at the end of the day its goals that get you points and win you matches. Strikers provide the goals and this is why we haven't done well enough. I would happily have Beano as a back up though, but he is an expensive back up. Chapman Id only hold on to because I think he has the potential to be a good player but time is running out. As for the defence, its also a shambles. We concede 1.6 goals a game. Were leaking goals. Im only keeping Davis due to him impressing last year and Wright has been immense this season. I think Wilder has to take blame for this. He knew at the beginning of the season that Dubes will be out for a long while, he needs to sign a decent centre half. He signs Raynes who wasn't in Rotherham's plans (this should say something). Now, I appreciate that you cannot blame Raynes for everything but last season we where much more solid with a true leader in the back 4.
