I don't know the answer to this but ................
Does K****M only have to allow football to be played at the stadium for 25 years?
I ask because we are almost 11 years through that period with no chance of buying at the present time.
If we keep renting without a closure in sight for the remainder of the lease we will have paid him around 9 million. So he will really have fleeced us again.
What if he then wants to sell the land for some other purpose? eg Tesco or Sainsbury
Where does that leave us?
I honestly don't know what was in the agreement between him and the council, but the longer this situation goes on the more desperate we will become and he could fleece us once again.
Any thoughts?

Oufc have a LICENCE not a LEASE to play for the agreed period - about 20 years left iirc and have an automatic right to renew. There are also planning restrictions/covenants requiring sport/leisure use. There are a lot more threads with fuller details if you search.
