Today I feel an enormous sense of pride for everything to do with Oxford United. The players were immense, the management team got it spot on, and the fans, well seeing the South Stand on their feet near the end was great to see. Fans in every stand gave such amazing support today, we can all be very proud. Does anyone have any stand out memories? What a day!!!! And Timmy wont be so quiet at his desk on Monday morning. I actually wish I was Timmy now

Fantastic effort by everyone today. Every player gave 100%. The commitment was amazing. Bodies on the line to block everything.
I would give Wilder another year whether we go up or not on the strength of that.
So many players were superb today, it's difficult to pick one out. A great day.

Just some random shit from the day
The SSL on it's feet before the final whistle was just awesome.
That was the the longest 45 minutes of my life.
I met a load of old mates and laughed when three turned up with DM's on and one with 16 lace cherry reds.
I am going to be smiling for a week.

One think i will moan about... I have a season ticket in the ssu, but for today i just couldn't sit down, so i stood right at the back with a few other fans, we weren't mis-behaving, blocking anyones view or anything. Just shouting and singing. And we were asked to sit down, and I refused. There was then 3 stewards who came down to make me take my seat. I was furious. Absolute Jobs-worths. Only downer on the whole day though.

I actually wish I was Timmy now I just posted this on one of the other threads... just had a read of the match thread on thetownend forum. Quite a few ridiculous comments on there, as to be expected. Very surprised though that listening to the radio they seemed to think their fans outsung us? I know the acoustics are not great there, but where on earth do they put the mics at the Kassam as I though the scum support was quite embarassing and quiet and that we made plenty of noise throughout. The only times they got a bit animated was at the sending off, and then again when the clown made a fool of himself at the end.

Wilder another year no matter what ? hmmm, not too sure about that. If we go up then, yes, of course but he has to find those performances against the likes of Macclesfield and Hereford at home to convince hes here for the long haul. Good luck to him though and I hope he achieves it and is our manager for a long time to come but we have to achieve much more consistency against the lesser lights.

I haven't had a silly grin on my face for that long since Wembley! Brilliant game, atmosphere, support, and a pint of Guinness in the Priory at 9.30 in the morning, got one of Amersham Dave's excellent fridge magnets which now sits proudly on the door of same. Pity about the Neanderthal in SSL sitting behind the ST dugout, popping up and down like a jack in the box, making a stream of gestures and a more limited selection of adjectives at PDC. However it will take more than that arse to spoil my day. Roll on the Football League show tonight!

I was very close to the Swindon fans today and I only remember hearing them a couple times. The North Stand was rocking today!

Nobody should underestimate just how big a win that was. We had loads going against us today even before beano got sent off and we still pulled off the most unlikely win. Thanks to all the players and if they show the same desire in the remaining games we could do it.

An utterly, utterly superb day! Wonderful second half defensive display. Whing was immense.
Outsung by the Scummers? Only in some parallel universe. No-one could possibly believe that if they were there.
Fair play to Ritchie for seeking out the ball boy to apologise to at the end.
Beers with Gramps, A420 outpost and Dichio (first trip to the Kassam from his home in France since Ox 5 Ebbsfleet 1!). Hope Tim made a shed load today.
Anyone know what was going on in the raised park area towards the Leys after the match? Seemed to be a load of police doing something or other.
I'm shattered now.

I actually wish I was Timmy now Spot on JL!! Commenting as an exile, I was huddled over the wireless trying to picture the events in my head as they unfolded. To be honest I was sat there with a pained expression on my face for most of the time and I must apologise to the neighbours for the uncontrollable shouting!! Those that attended, fair play to you. The sound was deafening and it was vital that the 12th man helped out the 10 players on the field!! All of the players stood tall today. Back to the walls, in the trenches stuff. And credit to Wilder. He gets stick when we don't play well, so he deserves praise when we do. So, next Tuesday then?!

Great day out.
Enjoyable pint of ale in the Priory prior to the match, atmosphere building nicely.
The Oxford supporters in the Stadium were superb, Swinedon very quiet. North stand was rocking at times.
It really was a heroic performance by the Oxford players, to play the top of the table side with 10 men for 80 mins and to go on and win 2-0. Great stuff.
Clarke, Tonkin, Doobs were outstanding, Whing was awesome.
Wilder deserves a lot of credit too.
Happy days.
I'm absolutely shattered, but still buzzing. ;D
