Micky Adams after last night's 3-2 defeat to Scunny:
"Sheffield United have had four managers so far this season and they could soon be looking for a fifth"

Before this debate starts again, Sheff Utd have gone down the Blades fan/links to the club route with Adams and that looks like ending in tears. I can't see them doing exactly the same again with CW, despite us knowing what a good young manager he is.

Could well be a homecoming for Lord Wilder next season. With Oxford, obviously...

Preston are as good as down, then Palace, Derby, Scunthorpe and Boro are all in the relegation mix along with Sheff U.. Some decent away days in there for sure.. Not sure how ready we are yet to compete with clubs like that though

Think Boro are safe they were in the same hotel as me at the weekend and was chatting to a couple of them and they seemed very happy as a squad but disappointed at their position in the league.

Can't see boro going down myself. L1 looks like being tough at the top next term. They'll be a definate divide between the likes of us (if we get there) and the top teams in so many ways. If I were a carlisle or a tranmere i'd be sh!tting myself at the prospect.

Lots of big clubs in league 1 but who are in the top 2 right now?
Brighton and Bournemouth. The league doesn't care for reputations or fanbase
Brighton have almost walked it

The league doesn't care for reputations or fanbase Brighton have almost walked it Very true but even if the big clubs only make the top ten it'll still put a squeeze on the traditionally mid table/bottom half sides who are skint and have few fans. Also i think Brighton are a much bigger club than they are given credit for, it won't surprise me if their crowds double on the back of promotion and the escape from that sh!thole stadium.

It's a city that's bigger than Oxford, but with a team in an awful. Their new stadium looks like a mini Wembley.

I wonder if Brighton benefit from playing in a small ground with fans far from the pitch? Less pressure?

Will be some big crowds if we can make it. Could see the smaller clubs like Walsall and Dagenham and Redbridge down. Can do without their small fanbase if we go up. Don't want Scunthorpe down, would prefer Sheffield United, Preston and Boro but unlikely to get them. would be pleased actually if Swindon drop down and suffer like we did for a few years
