There's been a shitload of cash placed on hodgson, he's been backed in from 12s right down to as moobs says odds on...

He will probably save them which is obviously the priority but I cant really see him moving them on much next season whereas I could see steady progress being made if, say, Allardyce or Jol were appointed.
I think Hughton would have been a negative appointment. I'm convinced the only reason he is in the running is because he has history of getting a relegated club out of the championship at the first attempt and its like a contingency plan if the worst happens.
Albion don't need that, they need someone to go in there who can as good as guarantee safety and then build on it. The more you think about it the more the name Sam Allardyce screams out at you.

West brom place a nice brand of football and are exciting to watch when in the championship as they score plenty, can't seem to transcribe that play into their prem campaigns and so find themselves as a bit of a yoyo side. Big sam would ruin that and they'd just lump it up top, I wouldn't want that if I were a baggie
