Indeed - Scott was rumoured to be one of the frontrunners for the Sheffield United job when it became available a couple of months ago.
Apparently Brentford Chairman Greg Dyke disappeared from Dagenham's ground midway through the second half on Tuesday night with Brentford losing 0-4. At the final whistle there were no Brentford directors present in the boardroom at Dagenham. They had met up with Dyke at a secret location to decide on Scott's future as the match was in progress!
The rest, they say, is history.

Knee jerk decision. I thought on the whole he has done a decent job there.

Absolute joke! Where do Brentford expect to be? I see them as a mid-table League 1 side, which is where they've been most the season.

Think that's football fans expectations today, god forbid we finish just outside play offs the next two seasons, people will want wilder out! Stupid but true, unrealistic expectations I'm afraid
