bought Reid from Newport County for a "club record fee" apparently. Also involves Yemi and Griffin going to Newport.

dont know too much about Reid. But any non-league player worth two players and a fee has got to be pretty decent?

So Yemi never cut it in the league - just as we predicted.
Conference is the highest he will ever go

Is this the Reid we had on trial a couple of pre-seasons ago?

No, that was Reuben Reid currently at Oldham. Was asked to leave when he told Patto he had no intention of signing and was using us as a stop gap to keep fit until someone came in for him I believe.

There was the right back Reid and the other striker who went off to Rotherham, but I'm sure this guys name rings a bell. It was a couple of seasons ago (maybe Pattos last pre-season)?

Patto only ever had one pre season didn't he? he got the job half way through one season and got the sack half way through the next.

Yep,this is one of the Reids we had on trial a few seasons ago.Craig Reid,he played i think against Didcot Town in a friendly the same time as we had Rob Duffy on trial.Duffy looked good and we signed him,Reid didnt look so good and we didnt sign him.Ever since hes been getting all of Newports goals.

You could well be right but I have done my best to erase the memories of Patto's time as manager as best as I can.

Bottom half: www.oufc.co.uk/page/News/0,,10342~1344203,00.html In previous games Patterson has changed the entire team at half time, but that is unlikely to happen tonight especially with triliaists Gary Silk, Michaal Gash, Dean Oliver, Rueben Reid, Aaron Plummer all having left the club. Keeper Ben HInchcliffe gets another chance to impress while striker Craig Reid from Cheltenham is also involved once more.As for the transfer, will wait and see. Still not convinced that Stevenage have the firepower they need, especially with Odubade and Griffin going the other way. Neither were good enough for a progressive L2 side but it leaves them pretty light on numbers.

I recall Craig Reid in the match before at Brackley. Looked useful, but not outstanding. Think the eventual decision was that Michael Husbands would be the better player. According to wikipedia, his only football appearances since leaving us have been for the Royal Marines .

Reid, like Yemi, has never proven himself at league level. Intersting gamble.

I think Yemi has played only around three games. I wonder what he will be on now
