I can’t believe there can be many more pro clubs out there with a worse injury list. 2 key defenders nobbled for the season/ their careers, quality wide man serious cartilage op, Swedish international seriously injured in first training session, Mehmeti barely seen. Plus Long seemingly permanently injured. Plus various other injuries. I’ll leave VK out of it - he’s clearly getting the boot at Christmas. Of course Ribeiro retiring is bad news for the club! He (was) our main right back! Cut the management and squad some slack - these are difficult times. You pays your monies you takes your choice If you abandon a proven recruitment policy for signing a selection of aged, injury-prone and semi-retired players you get what you deserve. A stable mid-table league 1 team?

We are doing fine. Some people have short memories.

Maguire Lundstrum Dunkley Johnson McAlely All left for more money. Ribs Hall Raglon Long Nelson Now injured but here before Pep. Pekalski Mehmeti VK Willianson Come in uder Peps watch Roberts Ashby Bapiste Hemmings Who are not here or not close to the team, I would say there is some need to get behind the club at this difficult time.

Hmmm. 'I asked my medical team to tell me if and how they had screwed up and they came back and told me how brilliant they are.' If he wants a serious answer to that, he needs to call in an outsider to have an unbiased look at it. My feeling, and its just a hunch, is that the team is not quite as lean and fit as in the last two years, when we had an excellent injury record. I would love to see our in-game running stats. I'd be prepared to make a reasonable bet on the average yards covered being less. And when players are just a little bit less fit, the injuries tend to come.

I'd be prepared to make a reasonable bet on the average yards covered being less. And when players are just a little bit less fit, the injuries tend to come. There are separate streams to this. One is in game injuries - 3 Achilles ruptures/tears at home in a calendar year or so is very high for me. I know MAPP mentioned he was concerned when Thomas and Martin both suffered a similar injury last season. Some of the other injuries feel like a warming up issue where players are not quite right before coming on. The other is whether the training regimen has changed under Clotet. There was talk about it being harder work, but that was in pre-season. Hard to know either way outside of the training ground. Then there is the players themselves and how soon they are back. It's been noticeable recently that the club are more cautious with players returning than they were at the beginning of the season. Certain players have been a week away from full time training for 3 or so weeks but not done that, which could suggest they are taking a more cautious approach. Also, someone like Hall has been fragile in his career and the latest injury feels like one where he keeps bouncing from one issue to another as his body recovers. I have been surprised that some deeper issues have been found once a player has been injured - GvK and Mehmeti to name two.
