Friday night football, can't be right, especially for those supporting the Yellows. So, a match that hardly sent either set of fans into dream land when the balls dropped is almost upon us. Both teams seem to be having an unsure period form wise, and I suspect that which one wants it the most tomorrow night at Vale Park will probably succeed. No doubt, despite the difficulties of travelling on a Friday evening there will be a strong contingent of U's fans giving the lads in yellow great vocal backing, let's hope the team responds and rewards them with a solid performance. Vale 1 Yellows 2.

I hope for an improvement on last Saturdays game. Need the players to put that past them and got be it a go and if they do I’m looking for a 4-0.
Oh and a quick edit was going to write this thread is to early, realised it’s Thursday AM and because of bloody Stoke the game has been brought forward to Friday night and it’s not even on the TV.

A lot will depend on the team selection. The first eleven (whatever that is!) should win. If Clotet starts to "rest" players then not so hopeful;.

4-0 Oxford. Hall brace,Obika brace.
Eastwood Tiendalli Mousinho Willamson Ricardinho Ruffels Ledson Hall Payne Rothwell Obika
Number of players need game time and should get it here. May be a good idea to rest Nelson. This perfect game for Obika to gain confidence from aswell as Hall to get match fit.
400 away fan's If Payne starts then i feel this game could be done in 20 minutes. Also Swine beat them 3-0 so they can't be that good.

Hit em fast, hit em hard and push them in all areas of the pitch. It'll be a single goal in it whichever way it falls. Let's be optimistic and say us with Josh the scorer off the bench (think there will be some rested players tomorrow).

I'll go for a 2-0 win. Their manager isn't a motivator is he, doesn't seem like he is that bothered!

Hoping this one will be a fairly straightforward 2-0 win. Get the job done, and get our name in the bowl for the next round of the draw. Have a feeling Obika will start, and score both
Pep will rotate, rest a few players, but it will still be a strong starting 11. I'd go with:
Eastwood Carroll Williamson Nelson Tiendalli Ruffles Rothwell Hall Xemi Mowatt Obika (subs: Shearer, Mousinho, Ledson, Ashby, Henry, Payne, Thomas)

If you look at the league positions of the two clubs we should win fairly comfortably, but life is always like that.
Scrappy 1-1 draw. Obika.
One consultation is that a few squad players get some valuable match time.
No exciting cup runs this season.

Their league position and thumping by Swine suggest that we should walk this but they've got some decent players with Pope, Worrall and Montano and experience in Tonge and Pugh. They have 8 players on loan from Prem. and Champ. clubs.
Port Vale 2 (Tonge, Pope) Oxford 4 (Payne, Obika, Hall, Mowatt)
