Changing ?
Spurs beating Real Madrid. Man City winning in Napoli. Odds on 5 PL clubs in the last 16.
PSG favourites to win it.
It looks like the last 16 will be, England 5 Spain 3 Italy 2 Germany 1 Oh and isn't that Sergio Ramos just a horrible, nasty piece of work. He has been sent off 23 times in his career. I'm sure if he wasn't a Real Madrid player, it would be double that. He elbowed Dembele, then elbowed him again, then elbowed him a third time ! Right in front of the official, how wasn't that a red ?

Looks like a chance in the guard.
Barca could still be there or thereabouts but are an aging squad
Madrid and Munich do not look to be the same sides (did Madrid add any quality players to their squad pre season?)
PSG, Man City and Man U (Mourinho is tactically excellent in CL) could all be in with a good shout.

Really surprised at Reals lack of urgency last night. So much room was given to spurs all over the pitch. No pressing, they just let spurs get on with it. The only surprise at the end was that tottenham didn’t score more. The only time that real got going was when it was 3-0. How are Benzema and Marcelo still getting a game?

Strangely Barcelona, 8 points clear of Real in La Liga are 2 points longer than them in the betting. www.oddschecker.com/football/champions-league/winner

Barca, Real and Bayern have had some wonderful teams in the last 5-8 years.
What I have found surprising is how they all went stale in player recruitment.
The wonderful players they have at their disposal have aged at no surprise to anyone.

Having said all this, final will probably be Besiktas vs Shakhtar Donetsk

Definitely changing - the whole thing seems to be cyclical.
Premier League teams dominated during the late 00s, but the past five years haven't done anything at all. All of a sudden this year they're clearly the outstanding league again. They might not win it (Barca & PSG in particular will still fancy their chances), but at this stage I wouldn't be surprised if half the quarter-finalists were English.
Course it's all down to the money. I highly doubt it's coincidence that the current upturn has happened the year after the PL signing by far the most lucrative TV deal in Europe. After many years of Barca & Real in particular being able to outbid everyone for the best talent, now they can't - and in fact only PSG can rival the spending power of the PL clubs.

Too early to say. Let's see what happens when they face Barça, PSG, Real Madrid and Bayern when it matters, in the knockout stages.

Agreed, I'll admit he's a decent defender but cannot stand him. One min rolling around, the next in the ref's face complaining.

Of course money is a big factor but there are other things that come into play. In my view it is far more difficult for English clubs. The PL is far more competitive down the league. So Burnley winning at Chelsea is a classic. Whilst the top clubs can rest a couple of players they would take a risk if they left a lot of players out. Real and Barca can leave out half their team against some of the bottom clubs in Spain. When English teams last dominated Europe they did not have much more money than Real, Barca and Bayern. Alos what English teams do have now is top top coaches. Pep, Mourinho and Pochettino are right up there.
