Funny that, I've heard alot of people say they are pretty good. I couldn't care less about the brand but I have been with them that long that I have a sweet deal. Don't matter if it's a good deal if the phone doesn't work though! Torn between them and 3 mobile, the free use abroad is a good pull for me. There has been a change in the eu law where all data, mins, texts are still free in all eu countries now. Until we leave.

I seem to remember when there were numbers in the program which were linked to matches and a 'little man' used to hang up numbers at half-time to indicate the score across from (or was it behind?) the Popular Side. Ah, the corner of the Cuckoo Lane End and the Osler Rd, halcyon days.

Almost like they degrade the service at kick offs I wonder if there is some sort of video uploading service (iFollow?) which uses the Vodafone mast? That may explain the sudden drop off at kick off time as it will chew up a huge chunk of the bandwidth. I shouldn't think iFollow use a mobile network to broadcast from. That's far too risky.

Oh the issues the modern football supporter faces... I remember the days of only knowing other scores at half time was when they were read out over the tannoy. I remember when you had to buy a programme to get the fixture listing, and wait for the scores to be hooked onto the Cuckoo Lane Manor Club stand with tin numbers

Same as carefreeoufc and oufcyellows, I've been with them for many years and have found them to be the provider of the best signal in 99% of cases. Unfortunately 3pm on Saturdays at the kassam stadium is the other 1%! I'm reluctant to change just because of that though, and I'm happy enough with everything else regarding my contract. I'm actually a bit relieved that others have the same problem, as I was beginning to think Ian Mixter and his team had placed some sort of bug in my phone for their counter surveillance purposes........... Do u know how to flick it over to 3G ? If not I’ll talk u through it. Not as quick but it’s enough to access a few apps. Get a bet on or check half time scores That would be good mate, as I don't know how to do that.

It’s pretty straight forward, u just have to remember to flick it back , or u spend the next few days wondering why everything is so slow. Go to main settings icon Mobile data (4 down) Mobile data options Voice and data swap from 4g to 3G

How do people know this stuff???Also WTF is 2G, as that was on the list under 4G and 3G? Is it like the MS DOS of connectivity?

Yeah 2g was pretty much the first data signal they used, just about enough to send a picture message. Would struggle to load anything these days I would think.

Not sure. Would think there should be unless ee only run 4g data now.
When I spoke to greig before he left about the possibility of getting Wi-fi in the lounges he said the efl were due to launch stadium Wi-fi at all grounds in the near future anyway

They should ban phones from grounds, the blight of football. Fans might take more interest in the football and support their team instead of gawking at the bloody things all the time.

Because I am a cheap skate I am with Tesco mobile, I get fantastic signal at the Kassam and pretty much everywhere, where as everyone I know who pays more with Vodafone gets nothing. Basically Vodafone are shite but charge mugs more for being shite because they are a big name brand, yet you will all stay with them. To be fair i am a cheapskate and use Talkmobile who piggyback off vodaphone. And the signal is awful at the kassam this season.

Very reminiscent of legging it up from the Manor to Radio Rentals to check out the full times on Ceefax & the Vidi-printer.
Football stadiums & other places of mass entertainment should be signal & wi-fi free zones.

For those of us with phones so ancient you have to wind a handle and ask for Whitehall 211 before connecting, or those having trouble getting connected...
Maybe the club could actually put all the scores up on that flashy scoreboard?

Maybe the club could actually put all the scores up on that flashy scoreboard? They couldn’t afford that. It already costs them a fortune to keep it at 8 billion candle power, to help light the stadium and blind the opposition keeper
