Heard from a friend who’s a supporter of the Toffee’s that they want Wilder to replace Ronald Koeman.
I can’t believe the Everton board will do that.
Does he even deserve a premier League job?

Sean Dyche is favourite for the job.

Think CW will have at least one stab at getting Sheffield United into the PL...thus ensuring a gold-plated statue is erected outside Bramall Lane. With the players and money sloshing around there you'd think they would be going for a marquee name. Ancelotti? It would certainly be the next step up for a manager like Dyche or Howe.
Also, not outside the realms of possibility that Unsworth could do well as caretaker and be offered the job.

Everton are high end. Wilder is still only High Street.
Whilst I'd imagine that a few of the Championship clubs bigger than Sheffield United would maybe taking notice of what he's achieved, I don't think anyone outside of the PL will be bothered just yet.
He's best staying put and seeing if he can take the Blades there instead.

Wayne Rooney has been mentioned which is laughable.

No chance that Everton go for an English football league manager, especially one as unrefined as Wilder. Who also has a whole 13 games of experience as a manager in the second tier.
Frankly, I'll be (pleasantly) surprised if they go for Dyche - but at least in that instance, they'd be hiring a guy who's shown he has a handle on the Premier League and who can clearly organise and motivate a team at that level.
I see another foreign manager that noone's ever heard of appearing over the horizon here......

Everton need a trouble shooter.

Everton need a trouble shooter. Are Burnley or Bournemouth ever going to go higher than they are now though? Europe? Threatening the top 4? Getting a troubleshooter in a la Big Sam, Pardew, Redknapp is all well and good to stave off relegation, but when the new season begins badly everything starts from scratch. Everton need a big name or an up and comer...not the same old dross.

Old Chippy at Everton? LOL.
Talk at the weekend was of Moyes going back but I don't see that one other than a short term fix. Dyche would be a interesting choice and a better one than Howe. Rafa Benitez could be an interesting outside bet for the job.

He left Burnley for family reasons and was prepared to go down to League 1 with Bournemouth for the sake of his family. I can't see him going back to the North West. Sean Dyche actually lives in Northampton and travels up to Burnley every day !! I would have thought Leicester would be a better fit for him. Brendan Rodgers ? Still has a place on Merseyside (as does Benitez) Would be a kick in the teeth for Liverpool if he could get success at Everton.

Apparently Ryan Giggs is interested in becoming Everton or Leicester manager.
Not a chance.

Apparently Ryan Giggs is interested in becoming Everton or Leicester manager. Not a chance. Giggs is throwing his hat into the ring for any PL job going. The problem is that he thinks just by being Ryan Giggs and being caretaker of Man United for a few games justifies him being given a gig in the top flight. He was interviewed for the Swansea job and from what I heard had rather obviously not prepared for the interview. His knowledge of the club and its set up was poor and he really did think that his name alone would secure him the job.

Seems to think being Ryan Giggs should be enough to get him a job in the PL.
