Ex U's player Martin Gray has been appointment as York City manager after resigning from Darlington. It's unlike Gray to make a move that isn't forward or backwards but is sideways I always loved watching Gray's whole hearted performances for us and he may not of been the most technical players, he certainly gave 100% every time he played and was very effective as a hole midfielder, breaking up the opposition's play. York looks a good move from him and hopefully, if given time he can get York back to where they belong in the football league.

Chester are the in between of being full time and part time where by they train 3 mornings a week for a total of roughly 9-12 hours a week. The players on average earn around £500 a week. McCarthy is an excellent coach but I think struggled when he stepped up as a manager. As for FL aspirations I would be surprised if Chester manage to get promotion in the next 2-3 years.
