eastleighfc.blogspot.co.uk/2017/10/chester-game-postponed.html?m=1Their home game was called off yesterday at 1pm with Chester. The problem seems to relate to a specific area of a newly laid pitch where the drainage has failed in one area somehow. Player safety has been compromised. The management of the club are getting pelters from the fans. Seems to me that some have short memories. Stewart Donald has transformed that club and looks to have been severely let down somewhere during the summer. A staggering amount of investment has been undertaken over the past 3-4 years. tssc-eastleighfc.proboards.com/thread/4398/chester-match-off

Seems to me that some have short memories" A bit unfair, surely if you support a full time professional football club, you wouldn't expect a game to be called off for a waterlogged pitch, when all the other local clubs are playing ? Especially in September ! The amount of money Stewart Donald has spent on the club is a negative not a positive, if you have a chairman with little or no money, who can't spend on the pitch OK,but if you have a chairman who has invested millions, then you expect to have a decent pitch. I am not knocking Stewart Donald for one moment, just replying to your comment about Eastleigh fans having short memories. From what i read,a local ref passed the pitch on Friday, they covered the dodgy part overnight,so no problems were envisaged. Not a lot of use if you left early from Chester to get to the game.

Poor old Chester fans
2 games postponed by the end of September. Bummer if you've paid for travel in advance ( Solihull) or travelled yesterday .... or both
