I am actually looking forward to a televised football match today. Utd only received a 2,339 allocation because that's what the Blades allocate to away clubs so Wednesday have reciprocated.
Sheffield Wednesday v Sheffield United kicks off at 1.15pm.
I hope it's a great game and the Owls win.

Blades are 1 up already. Nice free kick routine that the keeper didn't move for.

Good team that Wilder has put together can see them being in the promotion race come the end of the season. Probably a good move career wise for likes of Lunny and Baldock when you consider they've both come from league 1 club's.

A terrible 2-0 home win to little spending promotion no hopers Wolves pushing Lord Wilders strugglers into 2nd in the championship, a massive 2 points from the summit.
Hanging on to his job by his fingernails.

Do people still think Wilder's success is all down to having Knill as his assistant?

I don't think anybody in the English game has achieved promotions from the 5th tier through to the top, right? Graham Taylor took Watford from the 4th tier to the top back in the late 70s/early 80s. Based on that, the FA should be looking for Ol' Chippy's number...

If just to rake over old ground again, we were just one of the a number of clubs who have contributed to CWās development as a manager. He was going nowhere under the austere IL chairmanship and jumped ship. To some it was disappointing that he did, to others it was a relief. To some, it summed up his character that he walked out in a huff, to others it was an uncharacteristic move forced by being fed up with the regime in the boardroom.
Still, heās proven a winner since leaving us. Saving a doomed-looking Northampton and turning them into League 2 champions to taking underachieving Sheffield United back up into the Championship and starting life well there, his stock is high. Heās mightily unfashionable, a bit old school and ā love it or loathe it ā chippy as hell, but it would take one hell of a churlish Oxford fan to say he hasnāt done well.
As we sit looking at a fourth league defeat in a row in the face (Peterborough are going to have a field day on Saturday), any grumpy comments on here about CW are purely out of jealousy. The chubby former manager has done well since leaving us. Just a pity those post-Oxford achievements couldnāt have been done here instead rather than four years of wasted League 2 football from 2010 to 2014.

That's the mystery really, he has done very well since he left but there was little to indicate his subsequent achievements through his time here, I never liked the man but have to admire his recent record, be outstanding to get his beloved bladed in the prem.

Iāve pondered it too. The only reason, based on speculation, that I can come up with it that CW was still on a learning curve with us. Despite already having managed for seven years and 350 odd games prior to joining us, we were his first gig in the FL (barring his assistant role at Bury) and Iām sure heāll admit to getting a bit carried away in our first season back in the 92. His first season saw him sign anything that moved and it was only once KT left that his signings became a little more measured if even then not always successful. I donāt think heās changed his hawkish ways and he knows how to pick up a signing or two when required, but we know he made a lot of errors here that havenāt been replicated elsewhere. I guess we were his stabilisers and now heās off freewheeling away āoop north again.

He didn't have Allan Knill to keep him in check and offer advice with us, he had Micky (Cone Man) Lewis instead.
Doesn't matter how well he does, he's still a c*nt who disrespected our club, its fans, and its history.

U had plenty of money and opportunity to do it here in the league, but spunked budget after budget on journeymen and tinkering in jan windows.
