Mike Salmon can go 6 better.... That game... Dont think anyone who was there will ever forget it. Losing 7-1 at home... And to think we won 1-0 at their place about a month before as well.

I was at both the Sunderland and Birmingham game too! My mate drove a hire car to Sunderland as it was nicked from Aylesbury the night before, not a good day! Birmingham game was also a nightmare for me as all my fathers side of the family are Birmingham fans. that Saturday after the game I had a family meal up there, to say I got the p*ss taken was an understatement!

Worst trip I had was Forest away on the coach. Forgot our food, starving all the way there. Miserable weather, got tonked, burnt the roof of my mouth on a microwaved pastie. So few of us there we pretty much just huddled under a giant flag until it was all over.

Southend was my worst away day, horrid ground, delayed on the way there, 4-0 down at halftime, 6-1 at fulltime. Have never been back there.

I got my mum to take me home just before half time. Think we were maybe 4-0 down already? Or was it 5-0? Either way it was too much for me. Seem to remember it was raining and was generally bloody miserable. I can't remember too many games as bad as that one.

Worst game for me was away to Yeovil losing 6-1 or losing to Grays away realising how far we had dropped!

Free transfer to obscurity.

Didn't the Birmingham players claim our players took the p*ss after the win at ST Andrews so they were determined to teach us a lesson!!

Didn't the Birmingham players claim our players took the p*ss after the win at ST Andrews so they were determined to teach us a lesson!! It was during the warm-up before the game at The Manor which we annoyed them. Our boys came out to warm up wearing yellow and blue Santa hats, something the club had just introduced in to the club shop, and they thought we were taking the p*ss and disrespecting them. It certainly fired them up!

That'll be it, knew we p*ssed them off sometime between the win at their place and the game at ours!
Now you've mentioned it, I can remember Windass pissing about taking shots at the LR end in a bobble hat after the other players had gone in..

Birmingham game is the only game where I've left at half time and gone back to the pub (the Brit I believe), I've been tempted a few times but that's the only one I've actually done it. I left the pub to go home once when we were live on tv away at Rushden and Kieran St Aimee scored an own goal and found it hilarious, think we went on to be hit for 5 (that may have even been the 5th).

Not quite the same, but; Matthew Keeble; 1 game, 1MoM Free transfer to obscurity. I'm pretty sure he was one which they thought was really talented, but had a terrible attitude. I might be wrong, but I think he was a big West Ham fan and all he wanted to do was play for them. He didn't seem to realise that wouldn't happen unless he as successful with us!

The 5-0 was Jim Smith's last game as permanent manager (he had a four game - undefeated - spell after Patto was sacked and before Wilder came in). Kieron St Aimee netted the fourth for them, Matt Day scored an own goal, future U Craig McAllister got on the scoresheet and Simeon Jackson got the other two. He ended up being quite good for a time. Re. the 1-7 game. Why is there no video of the goals to be found anywhere? I thought a Blues fans would want to post them online for a laugh. It's disappointing that we can't all witness them again and to aptly remember how bad Mike Salmon was.
