Noticed at the Cheltenham game that over 20 bulbs were not working in the flood lights above the North stand.
We need to try to make Grenoble Road a fortress this season, and not having the best light possible might potentially disadvantage us - make it harder to play for both teams, thus a "leveller". And might make it harder for the ref to see everything clearly.
Bit sloppy and unprofessional is you ask me, especially given that they have had 3 months to sort.
Hopefully someone at the club is reading this and will react.

That's typical of Oxford fans, wanting to have their cake and eat it. Out of the kindness of his heart, Uncle Firoz who is of course our guardian) allows the club to play at his richly appointed palace of football - and now you're moaning that we ought to be able to see what's going on as well! Sheer ingratitude.
I am sure as soon as Poundland has a sale on light bulbs, the man from Firoka will jump onto his bike, pedal down there and fill his wicker bicycle basket with as many bulbs as he can afford and will fix them up lickety-split.
Either that or we could all take torches. Preferably flaming ones.

I do recall a story when Gazza volunteered to get up on the roof to retrieve footballs (and I think he did). Maybe one of our squad could have a go? Requirement: climbing, no fear of heights, and contortionism.....

Stadium company. The same stadium company responsible for the quite frankly disgusting state of the toilets.

Toilets absolute disgrace I agree. I won't take my daughter until they are hygienic so it definitely impacts on crowds. As does pigeon crap on the seats. I took two customers to the Sheff Utd game it was so embarrassing.

Poor old Kassam can't win. Fans go on about missing the manor even though it was falling apart and the facilities were not the best to say the least so he try's to accomadate this by letting the kassam stadium have the same feel about it and fans still moan!

Yeah but he did forget to put the charm and idiosyncrasies of the Manor into the Kassam so, no matter how much he wants to please us, I think he is on a loser here.

Isn't this to do with the time of year and brightness? As it gets darker, less lights are switched off, if it's lighter not as many are needed

I don't remember the last time all those lights were working. Of the nine lights that are grouped together in each section there is always at least two or three that aren't working. Sometimes literally half of them are out.
As for the SSU toilets, it's getting silly now. The smell when the urine of a hundred men can't drain away is enough to nearly knock you backwards. It's only a matter of time until it slows to the point where it's overflowing.
Honestly, I can't wait to get back to my filthy, cobweb covered seat.

Re the floodlights. I'm not sure all of them have to be on, and there are different settings to save money. The stadium was built with Championship/international age-group games in mind, where there is a higher lux rating requirement than for lower league football. Doesn't make sense to burn the extra electricity if it's not required by regulations. Not to say there aren't some out, but we must still meet at least minimum league standards.

Would help if those on all pointed towards the pitch, one on the North Stand is pointing down on to the roof.
