Thought it might be interesting to keep tabs on some of our former players who are on the move in the current transfer window. Below is the list of players that I've noted so far, but feel free to add if you know of any others.....
Max Crocombe - released by Carlisle signed for Salford City Ryan Williams - released by Barnsley Pat Hoban - released by Mansfield Sam Slocombe - released by Blackpool
Jack Midson - left Braintree and signed for Leatherhead? Jordan Bowery - signed for Crewe from Leyton Orient Phil Edwards - signed for Bury from Burton Dannie Bulman - rejoined Crawley from AFC Wimbledon Myles Welch-Hayes - signed for Bath Town Michael Raynes - Carlisle to Crewe
Alex MacDonald - apparently Mansfield have turned down a £250k bid for Macca!!
Joe Skarz - released by us, signed by Bury Liam Sercombe - sold to Bristol Rovers circa £150k
That's the list for now, if anyone knows of any others let me know and I'll keep it updated through the summer.

That Macca claim has to be a Twitter claim or Fatty McFraud making stuff up.

That Macca claim has to be a Twitter claim or Fatty McFraud making stuff up. Agreed. We've been royally mugged if we have let him go to Mansfield with the knowledge that another club was k en to sign up for £250k.

I think the MacDonald £250k bid comes from a local newspaper.....no idea how much truth there is to it. Who's to say we had any major interest in him back then, and we wouldn't have got as much as £250k based on the fact he only had 6 months on his contract at that time. For what it's worth I think we did the right thing by releasing him and letting him go to Mansfield, if it was a case of freeing up wages to able to get McAleny and Martinez in

Feel sorry for Max Crocombe, being released by Carlisle, he didn't make a single appearance for them last season. Thinking he must be at the age now where he needs to find a team and start to play regular football. Perhaps do him good to spend a season or 2 in the Conference, become first choice keeper somewhere, and hope he can climb his way back up the league ladder. From the few matches I saw of him, he looked like a very capable keeper.

Yes, has another year left and from what I've read Cook rates him. Made 40 appearances last season.

Max Crocombe was OK,but he wasn't that good. Conference standard at a push. He played precisely no games for Carlisle which pretty much tells you all you need to know

Gillespie played every minute of every league and FA Cup match this season. Max got 4 matches in the FL Trophy.

Max Crocombe still has time to establish himself somewhere.

Not a transfer but JJ Kenny has just been excellent for England u20s in their 1-0 win over hosts South Korea in the U20 World Cup. Bombing runs forward, including setting up the goal, and defensively solid.

Fair point re: Eastwood in his first spell versus Crocombe. I never saw Eastwood play for us first time around, but I did see Crocombe a few times. He was ok, but didn't look enough of an athlete to make it in L1/L2. Look at Eastwood- he's a big bloke, but is very quick off his line, and is an excellent good shot-stopper. Buchel was also very quick,if a bit wobbly on anything in the air. I didn't see Crocombe having the speed you need off the line to make it in the League. And his loan clubs (I think he was at Barnet?) didn't exactly bust a gut to get him back. Hope I am wrong, as by all accounts he is a very decent character, but I would doubt he will make it at L2 or above.

Updated the opening thread to add Micheal Raynes, who has agreed a deal to move from Carlisle to Crewe.

Jonjoe Kenny played in England's 2-1 win over Costa Rica today in the 1st knockout round of the U20 World Cup in South Korea. England are through to the quarter finals and will play either Mexico or Senegal on Monday.
As a side note, Germany got knocked out by Zambia 4-3 after extra time. Zambia were 3-1 up with 88 mins on the clock when Germany got a goal back and equalised in the 3rd minute of injury time.

Updated OP again with a couple of additions. Sam Slocombe has been released by Blackpool, and I've added Skarz/Sercombe to the list as well.
