Strange. No indication given in TV interviews after Sundays game. In fact, he seemed quite upbeat. Wonder if there are fresh allegations about dodgy dealing !!

Hadn't thought of that but maybe the newspapers do have something more on him. Or maybe he has just reflected, feels he has proved himself again and is unsure as to whether he wants to go through it all again (he can't need the money)

Although I don't particularly like the fella, he has a way of squeezing the best out of disfunctional teams. His brand of football is not always easy on the eye and there is a whiff of dodgy about him. But he does seem to be able to keep teams up. I wonder what kind of record he might have had with England?

I wouldn't be surprised if his family have pressured him to quit. He doesn't need the money or the hassle

He's 62. He's loaded. Maybe enough is enough for him. He's had heart issues in the past and has decided to retire. Like him or not he's bloody good at what he does.

I suspect he planned To retire after a few years with the England job. But with the way that turned out had one more shot with Palace and got a chance to end his career on a high. Good luck to him

Probably picked up a huge bonus for keeping Palace from being relegated.
That and the payoff from the England job and you'd wonder what would motivate you to keep going.
I fully expect him to be managing someone in China before the year is out though! 😉
