What is it with PL managers being awkward buggers to the media?
A while back Guardiola was doing it. This weekend Jose treated a reporter with contempt for asking a perfectly reasonable question, and that's not long after claiming that anyone criticising Pogba's performances was doing it out of jealousy of his wages.
David Moyes warned a female reporter she might get a slap for asking a reasonable question.
So glad we've got a manger who doesn't duck the post-match interviews and always treats reporters as equals, rather than with contempt.

You are right, and it's about time it was stopped. Perhaps the PL should start fining them for bringing the game into disrepute every time they do it...

I think that the PL are worried that if they did that the managers would say nothing. Agreed though that the PL should be trying to encourage the managers to stop such ridiculous comments. The problem is that the media do try and get managers just are games when they are wound up. Ideally they have time to calm down a little. Wouldn't make such good TV though ...

Have you seen the video? When I read the reports I imagined him growling at her, snarling angrily in her face and giving her the old Moyes gimlet stare, but if anything it seems like he's trying to flirt with her! Wouldn't be surprised if there was a cheeky wink in there as well!

When I think of Premier League managers, I always think of this. No prizes for guessing which manager this character is modelled on, but you can probably attribute these characteristics to almost of the Premier League managers.

When trying to ask a lady out I need to take offence at a perfectly reasonable question and tell her "You were just getting a wee bit naughty there, so just watch yourself. You still might get a slap, even though you’re a woman. Careful the next time.” and then

After reading the reports and seeing the video, slapgate is verging on fake news/alternative facts. The fact he apologised and it was accepted should be absolute the end of it, but the politicians have got involved so no doubt he'll have to go some right on training course or whatever and pay a fine.

Maybe that's where I'm going wrong when I take offence at things and 'threaten' people, I always do it while smiling and laughing, strangely they don't seem that intimidated...

Depends if the laugh is genuine or just to avoid antagonising someone. We've all done it, laugh at what someone's said and then turn away and think "what a t*at".

True. Although I've done that while other people are genuinely laughing, and vice versa...
