We are utterly delighted to see the Oxford Mail and Radio Oxford report on the Trust's gesture to send 38 pupils and their teachers to Wembley this weekend, to see the Checkatrade Trophy versus Coventry. www.oxvox.org.uk/childrenfinal/The school had been identified by our Community Department and Rose Hill Primary finds itself in one of the worst deprived areas in the country, let alone Oxford. These children, the staff and Headteacher are delighted at the gesture from OxVox to send them out on, what one pupil has described, as the BEST SCHOOL TRIP EVER. We didn't seek fundraising this time (you'll remember the amazing £8000+ raised by OUFC fans for the One of Our Own Campaign last Summer) because we have hit record membership figures and have decided, as a committee, to use some of the monies to send these children to Wembley. Simply most of them would have found it very difficult to go. The package includes all tickets for 38 pupils and a number of teaching staff only, along with the Trust paying for the transport and coach to the national stadium. We thank ALL our members for their continued support and their membership has once again, enabled some people, less fortunate in some cases, to support our team. We hope Rose Hill Primary can help bring back the trophy. COYY!!!!

Great gesture from OxVox.
Regardless of the result, I hope the kids and staff have a smashing time.
You never know, there could be a few fans for life made from their trip.

I joined recently, nice knowing my money went on something like this.
I am from a (different) Oxford council estate and my first Oxford game was the milk cup final at Wembley at a similar age, it's one of my most cherished memories and i hope it turns out that way for these kids.
Well done OxVox, more people should sign up, it's a bargain, your money gets spent on lovely things like this and you get a signed certificate and letter from Maurice Earp plus a pin badge, who could ask for more.

Oxvox still had the time, energy and focus to see the bigger picture with all the madness going on around them at the moment. Very well done, engaging with the community and forging new links for the greater good of our Oxford United family.
