Greig's departure is very disappointing news. The open style, relationship building and the collaborative approach that he has adopted with Oxvox over the past year has been hugely beneficial to the Trust and fans alike.
We obviously wish Greig well for the future in what ever he chooses to do. He's an honest, bright and hard working guy, who loves our football club. He will always remain a friend as well as a life member of the trust.
Thank you Greig, from all at Oxvox.
We are of course asking the club for clarification on their 'staffing' and future plans, as this is the 3rd senior team member to leave OUFC since the clubs various public statements in Dec/January.
Regards
Jem

It will be interesting to see what response you get from the Club Jem.
Something is certainly going on and I guess that it is a little worrying from the outside especially after some of the Board's comments recently.

Folk like GBT never stay anywhere very long....... career progression is all they look for. None of his jobs have, barring the Mirror, have been 2 years or so. Interesting character, intelligent & affable chap but there are plenty of those around.
Business wise you have to ask what he was being paid as MD and if that was representing value for money.

That is entirely untrue. Greig is in his mid-40s, and as far as I know had three jobs before OUFC. 4 or 5 years at the news agency in Reading, then 10 years at the Mirror. Then a brief spell at Richmond Council - that was cut short only because of his arrest - and then four years working for me at Dragon. So leaving aside his involuntary ejection from Richmond, Greig's average job tenure was about seven years. Which is hardly redolent of someone who is always looking for the next move.

We've all experienced involuntary ejections in Richmond at some point in our lives. I'd wish all the best to GBT. He is a fan who obviously has the club's best interests at heart and the blaming of him for certain issues was often ridiculous and typical pantomime stuff. His replacement will certainly be a fascinating appointment.

Chief Reporter (INS News Agency)- 2 years 3 months. Chief Reporter (Aldershot News) - 9 months. News Reporter (Aldershot News) - 11 months. Entirely untrue ? Like I said intelligent, affable guy of which there are plenty but there must be a good reason he is moving on.

Hold on a minute, you can't conflate promotions at the same company (as stated here) and claim they are examples of someone jumping around. Whenever I've been promoted I've marked it on my CV but I don't count it as moving on - it's being recognised for hard work and expertise and gaining extra responsibilities.

As I said, since leaving his news agency he has spent 8/9 years at the Mirror and 4 and a half years at Dragon. I imagine that there might be any number of reasons that he has been moved on, but being the kind of guy who leaves companies quickly plainly is not one of them, as he had two previous employers in the preceding 14 years!
