What is everybodies thoughts on the sending off?
I reckon that the ref was fed up with all of the Man U fouls, decided to book somebody and booked the player who happened to have booked the person who already had a yellow card.
Unlucky or fair enough? Man U will surely get in trouble with their players all surrounding the referee when it was given? Like the old Roy Keane days ...

Yea I thought the same - wouldnt surprise me if he made the decision to book the player then regretted it abit as soon as he realised it was Herrera. You can see from his line up that Jose jst wanted to get amongst the Chelsea midfield and stop them playing. Ironic after his comments in the press recently. Atmosphere sound decent to be fair.

I only saw the replays at half time and while harsh, Man U's players need to be brighter and not go and do the one thing they've been told not to do. The fact Jose went nuts is just the icing on the cake

What I'm most confused with is when did Martin Keown become a Man U fan?
Said the 2 footed challenge was ok because he turned his body side on?! Failed to realise it was still 2 feet off the ground.

I assume Rojo will be getting a call from the FA for his stamp on Hazard then?

Fair play to Kante, he can play that well while walking around with £90 Millon in his pocket.

I can see why the second yellow was given. The ref had just had a word with ManU telling them to cut out the persistent fouls (especially against Hazard) only for a brainless player to immediately foul errm Hazard. One who had already been booked. It might not have been a yellow card offence in itself, but Herrera might as well gone up to the ref and stuck two fingers up to him!

I thought the ref showed amazing restraint when surrounded and jostled by the players after the red card. I'd have been tempted to deck Valencia the way he was behaving.

I think jostling the ref should be an immediate sending off, and only the captain should be able to approach the ref unless he calls a player over.

I thought that they had brought that rule in this season. Football could learn a lot from Rugby when it comes to the officials. Respect from the players towards refs. Citing for incidents missed at the time. I thought the law where a freekick can be moved forwards 10 yards if there was dissent was a good one, don't know why they dropped it. Would love to see that one reintroduced for when an opposition player picks the ball up after a freekick has been awarded against them and jogs off with it.

It was a bit embarrassing for a side of man u's stature that their tactic was blatantly just to kick Hazard to stop him playing, their was no pretence to otherwise, and I am not sure how long they expected to get away with it. Dim of the only bloke on a yellow to foul straight after a warning as well, but Herrara is an average, over rated scrapper who tries to be Kante like but without both the athleticism and intelligence.
Mourihno let his dislike over Hazard going missing last season dictate those tactics. Hazard will get a lot worse at old Trafford where they are more likely to get away with it.

Hazard with his ability should not need to dive so much. First time I've seen Chelsea this season and the last. As entertaining as BGT!

I think the word 'jostling' must mean something quite different over in Germany, Berliner!
I personally have never asked a comely maiden if she wanted a quick 'jostle'. Could be where I'm going wrong mind you!

So a barely noticeable fine at most.

Do we really have to devote a whole thread to a multi national corporation posing as a football club and the repository of a Russian oligarch's dubiously acquired squillions on this forum?
