It has been suggested that one of the issues that may be a sticking point would be the insistence of the current owner that as part of any deal the stadium name would need to remain. Is this acceptable to the supporters?

I'm not sure it was suggested, it was more of a flippant guess the way I read it but if it gives us a chance to have another thread about the ground issue then i'm all in. The eight or nine we have going are woeful.

Could compromise and name the cubicles under the east stand in the gents after ka $$am ..... they're usually full of shit, so it'd be kind of fitting as a legacy

Doesn't make any difference to most fans I would think
I have referred to the stadium as Grenoble Road from the outset
It can have his name on it but we should then come up with a few names and agree on the one with most votes, then the Club, fans,Radox,Mail etc call it by the new name

I have personally always refused to call it by that name anyway, Grenoble road for me!
The streets signs to the ground used to be 'altered' and its a shame that does not seem to happen anymore.

What about possible stadium sponsorship Revenue etc? e.g. BMW
Personally I wouldn't be happy about it.

Not going to bother voting, this is just another silly repetition of yet another piece of uninformed nonsense.

Yeah possibly but he would have to sell it to the club at a very good price to get that legacy. Iam not sure the council will be much better landlords eventually. In 20yrs time if a lad asks his dad why is the ground called the Kassam. The dad could say it is named after the man who saved the club and built the ground. He was a bit of a naughty man for a while but did the right thing in the end.

Does it matter? After all, a rose by any other name would smell as sweet.

Is Kassam really that egotistical to suggest that?

1) If OUFC do relocate on a permanent basis. Eg. Have a new stadium constructed. One would assume this isn't a threat to Kassam, as he could easily turn the existing Stadium into a hotel, shopping mall, condominiums etc... Of course there's the planning permission issues. Yet, am sure Kassam & OCC could come to an 'agreement' Furthermore, think that the profit margins (Kassam) would be much greater for the latter.
2) Personally, I'd rather OCC have nothing to do with OUFC. I'll let your memories and imaginations [do the typing in here].
3) Eagles & co, simply just need to come up with the cash (easier typed than done). Thus is the only way to sercue OUFC's future as one sole.
