Would the people who put us in this situation actually have enough brain cells to give a sh1t?

Exactly. The people who do this are more concerned with looking 'big' in the eyes of their friends than the well being of the club. And for that reason I would be quite happy to see them banned for as long as it takes them to grow up.

They are complete and utter numbskulls. Why not ban them for life? Do we want these pea-brains in our ground - ever?

Would anyone 'shop' these 'numbskulls' if they saw them throwing smoke bombs? Maybe that's what is needed since the message isn't getting through. There must be cctv footage of the incident v millwall?

Deducted points for letting off smoke bombs opens up a massive can of worms for the powers that be . Just about every club suffers from this phenomenon. Much more serious incidents have happened up and down the country over the years and to my knowledge no one as EVER had points deducted . Yes it needs to stop , if it doesn't then they'll start handing out fines . To many scaremongers out there believing everything they read !

We've been down this road before and people know it could cause the club harm.

So I wonder what Mr Eales will feel if OUFC receive one? He's single handedly keeping the club afloat, knowing he'll probably get little of his 'investment' back. The club have been warned several times and have passed those warnings on to the fans, yet some morons still throw smoke bombs. It's widely known who they are. This will affect the bottom line of the club's finances and put Mr Eales' commitment to the test. One of you smoke bomb idiots must at least read this forum, if not post on it. So what's your response? You are reviled by most on here, it seems. Do you think you're clever? Do you think you're tough? Do you think your actions improve a day at football? It would be great if at least one of you had the balls to respond.

Look at tvp just along from the Millwall disabled area. At least 2 have camcorders pointing directly at that area.

The perpetrators are looking at up to 3 months in prison and a minimum 3 year ban. www.fsf.org.uk/assets/Smoke-Bombs-Flares-and-Fireworks-Factsheet-for-FSF.pdfIf thats not a big enough deterrent than you have to be concerned for their mental capacity. I remember having a tour of Grenoble Road when it was "new" and seeing the security control room and the ability of the cameras at the time. They could read a newspaper in the opposite stand. Now FK has probably ripped those out & flogged them and installed a chinese copy, however there are always stewards around and with an element of "self policing" we could resolve the issue PDQ. I`ll happily "grass" on such folk.

This was @ Joshua - You mean the one at the top?
I reckon the 4th steward up (counting the one with his hand on the barrier) was looking through me so it would be further in (I thought he was looking at me and I was like 'fuck off!) so it would seem further in. It was behind me, tho.
Can't believe the steward's didn't pull they guy(s) out or point them out to the filth, though.
oufcyellows:- those 2 at the bottom of the stand were videoing that area pretty much continually during the first half iirc.

The flare landed in the row behind me and was helped on its way by a bloke who was apparently detained at half time. The majority of people in this area were day trippers who knew each other so I surmise they were on vacation from the East stand. The stewarding needs to be proactive (body cams etc.) but is always reactive (send in the boys), I have talked to the head of security after the last 'wall game, but lessons are not being learnt. If, and it is a big if, we have an East stand firm who only relocate for high profile willy waving games, then they can surely be traced through ticket/seat relocation.

Presumably, in the future this could lead to smoke bomb perpetrators being fans of a team who might benefit from an OUFC points reduction...? If they are not caught that is.

The majority of stewards are agency. Was talking to one who was working the doors in Jericho pubs on the Friday night. It's different stewards every game. Ox has very few of their own stewards these days. A fall out with the head of stewards resulted in this.
The've even had the Wycombe head of stewards working on a match day the last few weeks.

Could see a fine (angle being the club/stewards should be able to cut this out) but is a points deduction really on the cards? If so, what's to stop the same idiot letting one off in the town end each week to help relegate them? Given how moronic this whole thing is, they would probably give them selves away in the town end by continuing to use yellow smoke.
