Well this is all going very well, isn't it?!
Sterling still rubbish, Vardy still not selected, Bale still excellent.
Why are we playing so bloody sloooooowwwwwlllllly?

Sterling looks like he doesn't want to be out there. He's not got into the game at all. It needs a change for England as apart from the free kick, Wales have barely threatened. Hart has to do a better job with the free kick though. It's not a top corner effort so has to be saved.
It's annoying to be 1 down, but I do think England can win this. Wales have been so poor, but they have special player. England have to start taking the chances they create.

And it was penalty for hand ball. Arm was all over the place.

I had low expectations to start with, and I'm not disappointed!
Great strike by Bale, but Hart made it easy for him. Sterling? Get Vardy on. Smalling and Walker not convincing in defence either.
I think we'll score though ....

England had 70% of the possession but no end product. Both Kane and Stirling need to come off. I'd argue Alli too.
Would love Roy to take all three off for Vardy, Sturridge and Wilshere but obviously will never happen

I think Kane is fine. Sterling is the one that concerns me as he's not contributing or make intelligent runs. We are missing an outlet on the left at the moment.

All fart and no poo for England (although you could argue they’re the latter too!). You don’t win games with the most possession or winning lots of set pieces. Goals win games and all this ‘deserved’ nonsense that followed the Russia game needs to go.
Sterling woeful again and needs to be hooked and Kane doesn’t look right – slow, leggy, lethargic. We know the defence is England’s worst aspect but why on earth they totally freeze is anybody’s guess.
Again, much of it isn’t bad. But only having 8 out of 11 operating at a reasonable level isn’t good enough. Wales look like a team but a limited one. England look like good players but a team of individuals – with some off the pace entirely.

What's with all this shooting from half way inside the half? Just shows an inability to actually move the ball forward.

Stirrings fluffs his lines. Rashford better for me. Watch him score now! Not convinced by Hart either.

Walker just needs to deliver quicker. Holding it is achieving nothing.

Wales got what they deserved. They did nothing much all game and got deeper and deeper as the game went on. The pressure finally told.
Well done England. We deserved that because we kept playing and didn't give up.
Apart from the goal, Bale was anonymous. Did bugger all in the 2nd half

Great game. Wales' negativity meant they got what they deserved. Good to see Sturridge on form and was very impressed by Rashford - that lad has got a bright future ahead of him.

Glad we won, but by god we are frustrating to watch sometimes.
Obviously the starting line up will have to change for the Slovakia game, but we should go through now.

It's like watching a MApp team from 2014-15 at times. Pretty passing but just so pedestrian with it.
More relief than adulation and one would think we've got enough points to get through in one of the two top spots.
Still plenty of things to sort (Kyle Walker got in so many great positions but didn't deliver enough crosses, Lallana was not very effective, Hart shouldn't get complacent either) but hopefully a springboard to have some more fun in this competition.

The point is, suggesting Vardy and Sturridge comes on hardly shows you have any particular insight or would make a football manager.

Well I reckon that England have deserved to win both games 3-1 to 4-1.
Today? Lallana and Dier I reckon were excellent in the first half and in the second the substitutes were very good and overall Rooney and Walker have been 2 of the better players in the tournament.
It could go horribly wrong but we have an outside chance. Winning the group is a huge advantage though.
Like France we have an awful lot going forwards and are a bit suspect at the back. I still reckon that Germany and Spain will be there or thereabouts, but with a little luck .....

I thought walker was consistently too slow to move the ball on today. Always one touch too many, one moment on the ball too long.
