Hi all!
Just to confirm that advance and online voting for the OxVox Committee Elections has now closed. If you haven’t voted, you still can, but only in person at the AGM this Saturday. We’d love to see as many members as possible attend your AGM and the details are as follows: VENUE: The Spires Room at the Stadium (first floor next to the restaurant).
DATE: 12th March
PLEASE NOTE: The club would like members to enter by the ‘open staircase’ at the right hand end of the South Stand (to the right of the ticket office as you face the South Stand). This will make entry easier and avoid queueing/access issues at the ‘revolving doors’/reception. If at all possible, please have your membership card, or membership number with you. Timing: The AGM will commence at 1.30pm and it is anticipated that all the formal business will be completed by 2.15pm at the latest. Agenda • Introduction/Welcome • Performance Report – distributed at the meeting • Treasurer's report – distributed at the meeting • Resolution for independent examination of the accounts • Result of the election of Committee members for the coming year. • Close of the formal part of the meeting • Opportunity for any questions and a general discussion! Hope to see you on Saturday!! Cheers!

There was an excellent turnout of members at yesterday's AGM and it was great to be able put so many faces to names!
We'll get all the info out to members over the next few days - including, meeting minutes, the performance report and the detail of the election results.
Thanks again for all your support to OxVox - your Supporters Trust.
Cheers
Jem

Very excited to see the new team in place... We have a very strong group now. A group that are "Profesional" "Business Savvy" and "fully focused" on what a trust should be about.

Looking forward to receiving the details of the meeting and the breakdown of votes cast for each candidate. Members should be given full details of the voting as it will show that Oxvox under Jem is both transparent and open with its members.

Well I did not have to wait long for some of the information that I asked for to be sent out. Having read the documents and email just received from Jem it shows just how busy the committee have been over the last 12 months. This is in complete contradiction to some long winded posts prior to the AGM from certain quarters. The working together with YA looks to have been far more successful over the last 12 months than in previous years. The breaking news that discussions are being held regarding a supporters representative on the board is also exciting, the fact that the committee is now looking even more professional than in the past will no doubt help to make this a reality rather than a dream.
My commiserations go out to Chloe for just missing out, however as it is stated the committee can Co-opt two members and I would encourage them to make sure Chloe is top of their list.
The notes than have been sent out make it abundantly clear on many levels that the membership have spoken and the stewardship of Oxvox has been excellent over the last 12 months. Let's hope that continues without the interference from certain parties who have been quick to express their criticisms, without the detailed information of how much has been done by Jem and his team.
Well done to Oxvox.

No complaints about the results but I am a little concerned that so few members voted; 141 out of 582 is a turnout of less than 25%? There are a little over 100 non voting junior members who can't take part in elections, so the % is actually a little better. But the point you make is a good one and it's important that over time we work to get more members actively involved in processes and decisions like this. We'll do all we can to make that happen! Cheers! Jem

To be honest 25/30% turnout is quite good when everything is taken into consideration. The clubs doing well, the trust is moving forward and members seem to be content. Apathy rules. Well done Jem .

Given that most Council elections have turnouts much lower than that it is not that bad, though aspiring to be only as well respected as a county councilor is not very ambitious. As said, when things are (apparently) going well on and off the pitch people engage less with any organisation.

I still find it a bit disappointing really. You could vote online (as I did) and there were online statements by each of the candidates explaining what they thought they could add - and I got an email pointing me to all that. All very clear, very quick and simple. I'm not sure how it could have been much easier - and there was still the opportunity to vote on the day or by post for those living in a cave without any internet access. Given that those who have bothered to join OxVox are some of the more engaged fans, I am surprised more didn't vote - but I suppose you can lead a horse to water...

Interesting how the votes were distributed between the 9 candidates
1st place. 14.5% 2nd place 14.3% 3rd place. 13.7% 4th place. 12.7% 5th place. 12.4% 6th place. 11.1%
7th place. 9.8% 8th place. 5.7% 9th place. 5.6%
it would appear that those who did vote had enough information to make an informed decision on who they wanted to join the committee and take it forward.

We'll be posting a link to the full election results over the next day or so. We sent the details to members first last night. We'll also be publicly posting our Performance Report, which details OxVox activity over the last year.
It's very interesting to see Slappy's post from the PAFC Trust. If you get a moment, It's worth taking a little time to take a look at some of the stuff that Trust's are doing all over the country - there's some really inspiring work going on - particularly at clubs outside of the Premiership and Championship!
cheers!

Can't remember the others but I know Matt Cavill came third and got 97 votes which was 69% of those who voted (97 out of 141) and 21% of the full membership (97 out of 469). Not sure where you got your 13.7% from! The % figures represent the votes cast in total against votes gained by individuals. Number of votes per candidate divided by total number of votes cast x 100 gives the % per candidate. Matt 97 divided by total votes cast (763) = .0127 x 100 = 12.7% of total votes cast. simples really.

Jem Jem, it must be remembered that we have Yellow Army that have taken over the reigns of fund raising for good causes an match day experience. This I believe was agreed between both parties back when you became chairman. This gave a clear line of responsibility for both supporters and the two main groups. Something that was needed to reduce any confusion for the supporters and club.

I don't know if yellow army covers any of the initiatives that Plymouth trust supported . But I like to see supporters trusts doing things outside of the normal remit of the club. So the south stand key trophies signage is a good example. Perhaps a new scoreboard could be on the list? Mansfield have bought an old Wembley one, I think Morecambe had one bought and sponsored by a local business?
