I couldnt think of a better or more suitable subject header so I apologise.
I am as probably many, sad at the passing of Dartford Ox. Indeed it feels we have lost a few supporters recently.
It made me think, could we, or is it more suitable that if people didnt mind that they share if they or someone they know is suffering from an illness. Me for one, if known would like to help if possible so that person could experience our amazing club one more time. I am happy to contribute or donate and even contact the club to see if we can arrange something special for them.
What does everybody think? I am open to suggestions, criticism or and kind of thoughts and feedback.

I had known about Dartfordox's illness for more than a year but at his request did not tell anybody else. These sort of requests from sick supporters have to be respected.
Having said that I understand where you're coming from and it's a good idea. Getting sick supporters to a match that they could not attend under their own steam would definately give them a fun day out. And I'm sure that the club would assist in facilitating this, for example with a free ( or reduced price) seat for the person and a helper if needed. This fits in with the club's wish to be a larger part of the Oxford community.
Perhaps OxVox could take this up with the club.

I was just thinking maybe helping to get them into the manor lounge or somewhere more accessible or more comfortable. Or at a stretch, finding out the persons favourite player, both present or past with an opportunity to meet them. Anything is possible I feel.

Does anyone know a US based supporter called Steve Dyer? He has terminal bladder cancer and his dying wish is to see the mighty Yellows one last time. Eales has invited him to the last training and lunch before the cup final.

I don't know him but I think i remember hm posting frequently during the Seacoast United days - he might have even had a connection with Seacoast. Sorry to hear about your condition Steve, and all the best from Oz.
