Are OxVox planning on doing anymore fund raising merchandise?

Hello Mate
We don't have any immediate plans for OxVox merchandise, but it's certainly something we'd look at if people thought it would be a good idea? Are there any particular items you think might work?
There will be specific projects that'll require a degree of funding and we'll let everyone know what these are after our next Committee Meeting.
We'll also be selling match programs from this weeks Austrian adventure and these should be available within a couple a weeks!
Cheers!
Jem

Anyone from the Oxvox committee visited/contacted the new landlord and team of staff at The Catherine Wheel Sandford as yet? .... It could be mutually beneficial .... I was in there last thurs, the new landlord seems very interested in becoming a pro OUFC pre n post match mustering point...already aquiring OUFC memorabelia to decorate the pub with, among other things he has got planned....he has lots of good ideas on the subject

Sounds good Sarge!
Do you happen to know if the Catherine Wheel has a meeting room by any chance? We have a committee meeting planned for next Tuesday evening and it might be possible to 'kill 2 birds with one stone'?!
Cheers!

On merchandise - I think we probably need to see what the club come up with now that they have free rein. It may be that oxvox could pass on ideas that fans would like to see in the club shop. If there is demand and the club aren't willing, oxvox could step in.
Cheap stuff like keyring, mugs and legends type t-shirts usually work well.

Jem They've in effect got 3 rooms...the front/main bar, the 'cocktail bar' and the pool bar ..... Plus the garden :-) I'm sure they'd be able to accommodate a meeting in the 'cocktail bar' ...give em a call on 01865 580226

It makes sense to see what the club are doing first and then chip in with fans suggestions. The club now have significantly more control over merchandise, so I'm sure they'll listen to what the fans want. Cheers Jem

Cheers Jem 'Indepandant merch' as in non official OUFC merch does have an appeal , certainly to me, probably to some others too, it appeals to my rebellious anti establishment traits .......besides Oxvox merch'should be independant merch' as Oxvox are independant

Whatever happened to the FC Wiener Neustadt / OUFC half and half scarves? Anyone seen wearing a half and half scarf should be shot on the spot.

Whatever happened to the FC Wiener Neustadt / OUFC half and half scarves? Anyone seen wearing a half and half scarf should be shot on the spot. I think they are nice memorabilia for cup finals, or for instance when a non-league team plays an EPL team in the FA Cup, but not between teams with traditional rivalries or straight forward league games. So seeing someone with a Manchester United / City half and half scarf for a league game is cringeworthy.

Nope, it like socks and sandals, there is no circumstance where it's acceptable. Same with wearing full kit over the age of 12. If you allow them, you soon end up with this kind of shit Attachments:

For a cup final I'd happily by our shirt, with playoff final v York City and a date written under the badge, just wouldn't want anything with another teams colours on it. People don't want us to have a red away kit as it reminds them of scum. Imagine wearing a half and half oxford scum playoff scarf
