Hi all
We have a meeting on Thursday 18th of June with the clubs commercial team to discuss current initiatives and future plans!
If you have any questions that you'd like us include in the meeting, then please feel free to pop them on here, email or message me direct, or respond to the Members communication that went out last night!
We'll try and pick up on a few of this forums recent threads including, shirts/kit and the possibility of a song! There will be lots of other topics of conversation and we'll try, where we can, to provide feedback as soon as possible.
If you can let us have any questions by Tuesday pm then that would be perfect!
By the way, if you're not already an OxVox member, then please do join! Like our football club, the Trust is getting some really positive momentum and we'd love as many fans as possible to get involved!
Cheers!
Jem
COYY's!

A couple of quickies from me:
The Official Web Site is not currently sponsored yet plenty of clubs in leagues one and two have web site sponsors. It might bring in a bit of useful money.
Can't recall if the club had a sponsor for the home and away shorts last season?
Are we getting new front of shirt sponsors?

Going on from the club song question, I would like to know they're feelings on a couple (maybe three songs) before the players come out that could get the atmosphere going and use the 'club song' as they come out. I think they should either be the same each time, or change each game and have someone on the mic to build the atmosphere.
Thanks.

Improve the half time entertainment to improve the match atmosphere. Maybe reintroduce the relay around the pitch with kids from both clubs or the games between junior fans of each club* or at least a team representing both teams. Alternative, have a 5 a side competition^ for fans' teams that played over a season with an update in each programme.
Is there still a club for young fans as it use to advertised regularly but haven't seen anything in the programme? That said it's maybe just me not noticing it.
* Obviously, if fans of opposition then this won't be able to happen every game (ie. Midweek). ^ Again, the players can only play in trainers, not boots, so that the new pitch is protected.

Could the club look at having a concession in a city centre shop to sell merchandise?
As small concession in Debenhams or something like that, I am sure the Debenhams in Reading used to sell Reading gear so it can be done

No questions from me but if you could pass on praise to who ever is behind the twitter account (Sarah?) and tell them to keep up the fantastic job they are doing.
Fantastic interaction and cheeky banter.

Will there be an open day this summer and if so when - some of us need time to persuade sceptical other halves to release their darling sons into the company of those horrible football types....

Not sure if it's one for the commercial team but:
Could they clarify exactly what will happen to those with season tickets on the North Stand half way line when it is a large away contingent. It would be good to get this ironed out before it happens.
Can they liaise with Stadco to make sure there are two food concessions open in the North Stand, and particularly when there is a ticketing offer on, ensure that there are adequate staff.
Have they ever considered putting TV cameras in the North Stand, to give a better backdrop to the goals action on TV?
Could they look at improving the highlights on Yellow Player so that they match those of some other clubs.
Lastly, could they please ensure that London Welsh f*ck off before the new pitch gets wrecked by them!!!!

Did London Welsh contribute towards the pitch? No. I think you'll find they did, but not in a positive way.

From a marketing perspective, Oxford is largely considered a dreadful trip by away fans, especially since the Priory closed.
Are there any plans afoot to improve that reputation? Designated away pub? Station direct bus service? Direct marketing on away fans websites / message boards? Quad access packages? Lead the away team out matchday experience?

Are there any new initiatives with regards to encouraging the younger fans such as Flag day etc for local youth teams? Would the club consider sponsoring a youth knock out cup tournament to get the local teams closer and more connected to oufc? How about getting a few squad players to pitch up at a few youth team training sessions to build rapport at grass roots level?

Q: when are the new shirts going to be unveiled? Q: when is the online shop going to re-open?

Q: when are the new shirts going to be unveiled? Q: when is the online shop going to re-open? Or more pertinently where is the new retail space going to be located?

We are well located for most away fans so I just figure if we could create an appeal that fans look forward to then perhaps an average of 150-200 extra away fans per season is like having an extra cup game in terms of revenue. I'm sure Kidderminsrer used to get way more revenue because of their terrace, the pies, ease of access from the station and that quality boozer outside the station.

Following on from the away fans and attractiveness of the Kassam as a day out.
Is there any plans or could a plan be developed to engage more with exiled fans (Both in the UK and abroad)?
There is the existing OU Exiles which is a fantastic database and group but obviously it doesn't have any financial clout to have a real impact.
Even if it's just a feature in the programme where there is a profile of fan each home game/focus on a fans group/break down of the spread of yellows etc.
The club are obviously focusing a lot on the local community with their free ticket initiatives etc. which I fully agree with. But there are a large number of us much further away than Oxfordshire, would be good to see a bit more engagement in that sense.

And they can then collect all that data to maybe use in offers in the future

you have some good ideas there rickyotto,
@ prem grounds the away food/drink retailers wear the away teams kit, clever little ploy, swansea are especially good @ making away fans feel welcome (aka good day out) , and they are for their size, income, backing are probably the best run club in EPL
