In reply to a post from TY Cobb on the Rage on forum which stated that Oxvox backed the Methven bid, the vice chairman of Oxvox posted the following:
"One very important point though - OXVOX AS A GROUP AND COMMITTEE DID NOT SUPPORT ANY BID (which is very different to individual views). We asked for openness and transparency from the three groups - The Lenagan's, ENSCO and the Methven Consortium. How can you support a bid when you don't know the alternatives."
The question I ask is this, would I be right to assume that if a senior member of the trust is openly seen with a rival bidder trying to raise monies to obtain the club/stadium then he must be doing so with the full knowledge of the Oxvox committe? Or was he doing so without ANY backing from ANY of the committee at the time? I believe that the new "Rules" brought in by the EGM in fact clarify that the committe spoke as one and as a result did the Senior member in question, abuse his position at the time of the alternative bid?
It would appear that some people may have followed their own agenda rather than that of the committee with or without their knowledge a conflict of interest in the making and an abuse of their position.
Regarding the "Group" was the membership as a whole asked for their views? I think not.
The words "collective responsibility" seems to have been lost somewhere in the eagerness to distance themselves from the actions by a small minority of loose cannons.

Do you not have anything better to do in your life than make up threads about a group of people that volunteer to work for the fans? Leave them alone

Matt D and OxVox are crying out for people to join the committee. Really surprised that njones hasn't stepped up to the plate. I suppose actually doing something is more difficult than sniping from the sidelines though.

Well it's obvious you use your ability to speak more than your ability or lack of ability to understand what you read. I have already stated the reasons as to why I would not stand.. Maybe you should put yourself forward as it appears that you have an enormous amount of spare time on your hands. Unlike those of us who work in excess of 60hrs a week and spend many days in a calendar year away from the area. Of course one reason they may be struggling to get people to stand is the fact that it has been run by a dictatorial leader who has p*ssed many many supporters off. It's not been the same since Mr Lambert was ushered out of the door.

Poor Jonesey the globe-trotter oiling the wheels of his string of multi-national companies. Sounds sort of familiar .... Meanwhile the likes of Mark Sennett are sat on their lardy arses plotting the downfall of OUFC. No careers, no kids, nothing else to do with their time. Lazy bunch of bastards. Please stand Jonesey. Personally, I would never consider standing. Can you imagine? All that personal effort but no reward and precious little appreciation.

I personally, am massively proud of everything njones has done for the club and for oxvox. I am thinking of writing a book about it.
I'm pondering where to start....

How awful for Mr Lambert that he will be seen as accountable on matchdays by all those who know or recognise him for your venomous nonsense .

I asked him on the roofe thread but he tends to ignore the awkward stuff and repeat incomprehensible allegations elsewhere
