www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-28773897...but apparently not because of fans recording the game. I'm not sure which is odder, the banning of tablets, or people wanting to take them to a game...

People taking photos with tablets should be banned from all public places (& given a right slap too). And if you do it at a gig I will not be held responsible for my actions!

Oh and one more thing. Banning of tablets? Seems a bit of a coincedence that this was announced just after Rio Ferdinand left the club.

why do people even take photos/videos with their phones at gigs? If you really want a photo or video of something you've been to, all you need to do is look online.

People want a long lasting personal memory of the day. Can also be sentimental. Have you not got any pictures of our playoff final on your phone?

I can actually remember things I've been to because I enjoy the moment rather than stand there holding my phone up during the best moments. Its not really personal if you're not in it. Its just the view from where you are. When I feel nostalgic about say the play-off win I just look on youtube.

I'd imagine the majority of people on here do have photos of the day. I've plenty of myself with the groups I went with as well. It didn't take any enjoyment away from my experience.

I'm sure they do. Each to their own, I'm just saying I find it odd that when people are having a great time the first thing they think is to get their phone out. I prefer to just take it in. I don't see the point of taking footage of events that are being filmed professionally.

Its more of a personal thing. For example, I have often recorded Michael Buffer announce boxers, or a special song at a gig. I don't see what the problem is :s

I have taken the odd photo prior to the game, but am usually too busy watching to start filming, (or asleep). However will always be grateful to the Luton fan who filmed the 20 seconds of Constable missing and scoring. For that reason alone would not stop anyone doing it if they so desire.

There were plenty of tablets kicking around in the old london road terrace through the 90's...
