No, he's utter sh#te, he doesn't try, he doesn't score enough goals, he doesn't creat enough goals, he doesn't track back, he can' tackle, he can't pass, he's too lightweight, he's too slow, his attitude stinks, he drops his chewing gum in the street & puts cats in wheelie-bins & his Uncle is a Swinmdon fan. And, no, I have no idea who it is either......... Sounds like Rooney or Gerrard after Saturdays performance.....

Worley as a striker
We have been looking for a striker that can score more than 5 goals a season for years......
He could be the man!
Exciting times.........

None of the names mentioned (even the serious ones!) fill me with anything but apathy. As BB said - who that we've released or who has left really stands out as someone we'd want back?
Robbie Hall? Lee Cox? Ryan Williams? I'm struggling to think of any more (although there is a much larger number that I wouldn't touch with the shitty end of a very long bargepole!)

Apparently we have already signed a contract with Nialle Rodney (forward who was at Hartlepool last season). Done a week or so ago so no idea why it hasn't been announced yet?

If this is true it's the second time the club have completed a signing and hidden it from the fans. No idea why they would do this when there is clearly (rightly or wrongly) unrest amongst supporters about the lack of activity. And looks a terrible signing on the face of it. Let's hope Waddock sees more in him than this lot www.hartlepool.vitalfootball.co.uk/forum/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=13034

How long before the locals use the sign as target practice for paint bombs?

This sort of signing doesn't worry me much (we will be paying him very little) but like you say lets hope Waddock has seen something Hartlepool haven't. Or the 9 other teams that have let him go .......

As ever, (if true), I will let the player's performances for us do the talking.

"The striker, who has been at Forest Green for the last three seasons, turned down interest from Oxford, Mansfield, Chester and Kidderminster to come to the Memorial Stadium."

"The striker, who has been at Forest Green for the last three seasons, turned down interest from Oxford, Mansfield, Chester and Kidderminster to come to the Memorial Stadium." Rovers appear to be adopting a sh!t or bust technique for next season. Some sizeable wages being offered out. Not sure Taylor has done enough to warrant a move to L2 yet anyway. So no big loss. If we were interested, then it wouldn't have been as first choice headline striker. Whereas at Rovers he will be. Not surprising in that case that our "interest" (not offer) was turned down.

So another "Static" signing Just like when we resigned Dean Smalley last season, only this time the club will get more value for their money

Wonderful! I get two tweets in two minutes, the first confirming that Tubbs HAS signed for Wimbledon, and the second from the club to say they have put up new sign! I can think of several things they could put on the new sign, none of them printable!

"THAT" site has us "chasing Charlie Sheringham" I bloody hope not, he has been trading off his father's reputation for years and has failed to make a significant impact at any of the 11 League and non League clubs he has played for. His best performances seem to have been for Salisbury City in the Conference South, and was released by them. Please no.

I liked him when he played down the middle - which wasn't very often. But he certainly did the business with Mansfield - though it hasn't worked out for him a Birmingham. Injury.

Re Matt Green. He was OK at the time, and I haven't really followed his career in any detail since he left. I'd be investigating his injury pretty thoroughly before getting too far in negotiations.
In an odd and perhaps illogical way, I am more worried about the midfield situation then our strike force of one. We will get more strikers before the season starts, but signing decent wide players and a creative midfielder to provide the ammunition is going to be critical or else it doesn't matter who is playing up front. We've seen this time after time.

If we had signed somebody surely that would have been announced. if there has been a signing under the radar then I can only assume they are worried what the fans might think, Shite cmes to mind.

I haven't read all this thread(cant be arsed)but the Matt Taylor being discussed is the Matt Taylor that used to play for us,before going on to better things with North Leigh ?
